What a difference between types: tomato sauce!

This is the first year I've had enough room that I could grow paste tomatoes as well as cherries and "regulars" (fresh eating was the focus previous years). When we had enough extra before I would make some fresh sauce up every now and again and it was very nice. Well today I cooked up one of my San Marizano Gigantes (it really was gigante) and Oh My God! It is the best tasting tomato sauce I've ever had! With nothing more in it than the tomato and a few basil leaves it is rich, sweet and tangy. Now I wish I had planted more, I could totally eat a ton of this in the winter months!

Just thought I would share a little garden enthusiasm...
