help, pond drained while we were gone
Comments (6)I don't know if you have figured out why the pond drained in the first place, but we had a similar experience several weeks ago. After checking every thing and finding nothing wrong, running all possible scenarios of what could have happened, it turned out to be an electrical failure. We have a three pool pond, with the water pumped to the top pond and then flowing down to the pump chamber through the other two pools. When the electricity failed the top pond flow down to the pump chamber through the pump, causing the chamber to over flow. This lowered the upper pond, to the point, where, when the electricity returned, the pump was able to pump the lower pond to the upper pond, causing the pump chamber to go dry. It should have a backflow valve which I have never installed, but this is the first time it has happend in six years....See MoreHow long will these pothos vines grow while remaining in this 4in pot?
Comments (22)Mine didn't object at all to its repot back when I first bought it. She was probably happy to get out of that wicked nursery soil and pot!!! I let mine dry out but not to the point of wilting. She's one of my favorites of all my plants because she just chills and grows. No yellow or brown leaves, just pure beauty. And she has a new leaf getting ready to unfurl!!!...See MoreGolden pothos yellowing, limping, and possible root rot. HELP!!
Comments (8)Spraying the top with water isn't doing enough. You shoukd be fully drenching the plant in a ssink or tub with water untill you see it come out the drainage holes. That way all of the roots get the much needed water. Roots don't look like there rotting at all but the soil looks very very dry. I'd defently repot it into a bigger better pot with better soil as it's root bound. For the cuttings lots of people like to root them in water (including me) It's very easy and they usually transition over to soil perfectly fine. You can root them in soil, but I'm not too familiar with that method so I'll let someone else explain. Cut off the extra stem bits you have on them up to the nodes. The node on the plant is that little bump like thing that usually has tiny brown dots that ar the start of roots. . New roots will only come from these while the other stem will just rot. ....See MoreHELP!!! I turned white towels grey, and then yellow!! :-O
Comments (26)@ Rococo....Yellow is gone. I did three washes ranging between 160-200F. Combo and variance of Tide boost, British Ariel powder tablet and Grab Green. I think with continued hot washes and strong(ish) powder detergent with oxi bleach and a bleach activator...they might be ok! :)...See MoreTiffany, purpleinopp Z8b Opp, AL
