Has anyone actually tasted an Elegant Cornelian Cherry?

I am seriously thinking of buying a large, fruiting size Elegant Cornelian Cherry. It won't be cheap, when you consider the cost to ship. I can get a graft cheaply but it could take up to 4 years to fruit.

Has anyone actually tasted an Elegant? Is it edible fresh? Better than a regular seedling? I like the idea of steaming it and pushing it through a colander to use in pies, etc., and of making whole preserves, but I would like to eat some fresh and freeze some for use in smoothies.

Elegant is supposed to be the best for fresh eating. Just wondering if that is just marketing or whether it is actually true.

I really appreciate any feedback you might have!
