Grape cuttings, arbor training questions

I received my Petite Jewel grape cuttings, but no instructions. They are wrapped in damp newspaper in a plastic bag. I am rooting some fig cuttings in the same manner. Is this the right technique for grapes?

I also bought one rooted plant. Though spring is coming it snowed last night. Should I pot this up, heel it in or leave it wrapped in plastic?

The arbor. I want to build a geodesic dome using 2x2 or 2x4 wood.

this is the system:

I'm pretty sure I'll make it with 6 foot lengths, making a dome about 8 feet across and 8 or so feet tall. How many grapes can I plant around the perimeter and at what spacing? In the first year or two, while the grapes grow up can I plant other things to provide shade in the arbor? I was thinking peas and beans might provide some welcome nitrogen. Is that a good idea?

thanks,

Ellen
