I just wanted you all to know because you have been so kind in your messages regarding my health.

I just came from my Oncologists this morning after having big tests last week and the answer was...

No sign of cancer......

I don't have to go back for 4 months...Now I know that doesn't mean this cancer is through with me, but for now it is and that's the good news I wanted to share with you all.

Lol, I'm glad you all enjoyed the video and yes my husband was dreadfully encouraging her until he realized she was going to take out all his bait for fishing the next day, lol. She didn't eat them she just liked to catch them. My other dog likes to eat them. They love those denta stix from pedigree and they do get snacks, lol. When I first got my tropical fish tank it took her months to quit smashing her nose into the tank trying to catch them. She is a full blooded doberman but John didn't have the heart to get her ears cut when she was a pup and she is getting fat with old age and the tumor in her belly. That is the perkiest I had seen her in a long time. She is on some new medication and it seems to be making her feel a lot more frisky. I don't know why but fish and flashlight beams drive here insane, lol.

It's true they do make excellent parents. Bird brains? Bah! Yes, human parents could learn a lot from the way these little ones protect their babies. A couple of years ago I rescued a little fledgling that was displaced from its nest. The Wildlife guy came out and said it would be good if the mother bird would take it back. I put it outside and kept a close watch on it. Sure enough, the mother bird came squawking up and once again took up her quest to guard and feed her little one. Seemed the baby had two moms. Since it was hopping a lot along the ground and only onto lower branches. I spent a good part of the day keeping an eye on it along with its mother. Did this for several days. As we were leaving for vacation shortly thereafter, I had to just leave the little guy up to God and its mother. I think it had started flying to somewhat higher branches by this time. When we returned from our trip a couple of weeks later, it was no where to be found. Hopefully, it was already strong enough to be mostly on its own. Who knows? Maybe the one that's attacking me is that little bird all grown up. lol I'd hope that he'd remember my concern for him and be a little kinder to me. :-) Of course, it may not be the one I rescued at all.

As Bob shared the Forum previously was more strict than it is today, and we have no active moderator so we have to monitor ourselves. If we fail to keep postings on-topic over time the Forum would become diluted, or could become more of a social site. This is one of the reasons the separate Conversations side was created some years back. Our continuing effort to stay on-topic goes hand-in-hand with other accepted ideals as to participation; i.e. to avoid chat room formats by keeping information together on an existing thread rather than starting a new thread with additional input, and not hijacking a thread into a different direction. Though admittedly at times a thread does take on a life of its own. I am a member of a couple of computer help forums where the off-topic area is more active than the computer dedicated area. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that as I do like stopping in on occasion and sharing a few moments, but if you lumped both together the computer help would suffer, and that is why we are here. Great News!! So very happy for you and yours. My DH got good news last month...he had a followup sonogram from his carotid artery surgery last year in June...dr. says he looks good and no need to come back for 2 years. What a relief.

Take it easy with our 100 degree temps but keep on enjoying your garden, it will help you to heal (Body and Soul!).

Ruthie, you are my hero!

Way to go, Lady! My sister had cancer some years ago and beat it. She still gets her checkups.

I have terminal melanoma and take treatments for it. Just don't want to leave my wife of 20 years... lol Couldn't make it without her. One of the tumors is in the rear part of my brain which they say controls motor movement. I have learned to live with it, just not the stares of the people in the restaurants as I come staggering in.... lol

ps. I still garden too.
