Standard vs Dwarf Asian Pears

I am interested in planting Asian Pear trees in my small orchard on a powerline right of way. I need the trees to remain perhaps 15 feet tall to avoid the wrath of the power company. I am wondering if dwarf, semi-dwarf, or standard Asian Pears are the right choice. Of course the swarf or semi-dwarf trees would be easier to keep small, but are they as vigorous and long-lived as standard trees? Could I keep the standards below 15 ft (I don't mind pruning)? Is there an advantage to growing a standard tree and pruning it to keep it short enough?
