I just had a bunch of purple ones from a friend. They were very good. You can either scoop the seeds with the pulp and eat it, seeds and all, or mix the pulp & seeds with some water and sugar. Shake it up or mix vigorously to mash up all the pulp, let it sit for a few minutes and mix it again, strain and drink the juice. It's nice mixed with other fruit juices too. I put some of the seeds in some pots the other day. Waiting to see what happens. I do have an edible passionfruit vine growing on my fence since last year. It's flowering nicely, but so far no sign of fruit. That's my only experience with them.

Hi, I have an old big passion vine (P. edulis) with hundreds of flowers - when it flowers. I have taken cuttings from the vine many times and just plugged into pots, and some with budding flowers. So that way I managed to have about 2 ft tall cuttings in pots to flower. It's kinda nice to give away passion flowers that way. So I guess the answer to your question is to grow from a cutting instead of from seed for faster flowering. Tomas
