1 or 2 'easy' mistakes so far

First, tried no-till in order to save work. Compost was not ready by planting time & what I did use harmed or killed the seedlings. Soil had become too acid & plants wouldn't grow until applied lime, late with soil analysis. Soil (sandy)depleted of N also which was rectified by addition of commercial fert. Looks like a good crop of garlic being harvested. I didn't want too much squash but the 2 plants failed to thrive so had to replant. Planted okra seeds 2 days ago. Also changed garden layout at last minuteto accommodate altered watering system. Some sweet 100 tomatoes ripe. Compost is about ready now & tilling in small amount prior to planting new veg. 'Easy bits' to iron-out, I think. Happy gardening!
