let's compare some zinnias

I didn't know this, did you?

The Profusion Yellow zinnia is a different plant than what was originally called Zinnia Hilite, and is now called Zahara Zinnia, yellow.

As it happens, I have grown both (unknowingly). The hilite was superior, IMO. First the color was a pure, clear, COOL yellow. It bloomed unfailingly from spring (April) to frost (November) without showing signs of stress. It also did not flop from the middle.

I grew the Prufusion yellow last year. It gets taller, is floppier, and had problems with dark spots on the leaves late in the summer.

Okay. So, here are some others I am considering. If you have grown them, please chime in!

Let's compare:

Zinnia Lime to Zinnia Envy

Zinnia Swizzle to Zinnia Zowie

Zinnia Aztec Sunset to Zinnia Chippendale. (I'm especially interested in these, because I'm thinking they would make a good replacement for rudbeckias that don't do well here.)
