What color bag are you looking for?

Have you tried a purse organizer? sounds like you carry alot in a purse. ive never used one myself, but it seems like it might work. i like smallish purses. i carry a makeup bag for lipstick, a small mirror, etc. and a smaller matching bag for tissues, a tiny pill box (tylenol) and a little notepad. My walllet, keys and a pen are the only things outside of the bags. i like to change purses depending on what im wearing. 😊

Bumble, something's that's not too dark, and possibly use all year round. I like faux or real leather but not too dark but other colors would be okay. I also need the inside of the bag to be light in color. When will designers learn??

I love white bags. You might try looking for those. A lot of them are off-white anyway, but if you Google white bags with partitions you might come up with a lot of things

HU- I've tried purse organizers and they're a pain to get a good fit and a pain to get something out of them.

I only carry neccessities. Take a look at the Baggallini link I posted and I'll give you an example of how I use it.

The two side by side front pockets, one zips the other has a magnetic closure. The zip pocket has my car fob and house keys only. The other pocket has an inhaler, mouth spray, and lip balm.

The long zip pocket above the two is where I keep my checkbook, pen, & kleenexes.

I only use the back pocket if I'm carrying my iPad.

Inside, readers and sunglasses in the large side pocket. I don't use the credit card slots.

This is the wallet I use in the middle but in another color. Best.wallet.ever & completely organized with two compartments! And it's slim, carries cash, change, credit cards, all cards, DL.

I also have a slim address/phone book, slim brush, and a hand fand, the old fashioned kind.

I love SAK. Practically every one I've ever had had 3 interior pockets -- the largest one zippered (phone, glasses, misc.) and at least one exterior for keys, lists.

Ive wondered about the organizers. i do carry my phone, forgot that. Sunglasses i usually leave in the car. i use a small leather wallet; never carry a checkbook. i do not like outside pockets. Im on the lookout for a cute straw bag and prefer a tote, not shoulder bag.

Judi, it was my Sak hobo bag I used last night with the same compartments. It's not a bag where I can reach for my inhaler, breath spray, sunglasses which I keep in the outside zippered compartment which leave unzipped while driving. It's nice but hard to access.

HU, I still use checks locally and for certain bills via mail.

The Bagg's strap can be adjusted which is great. I love tote bags because the straps are just long enough to put on my shoulder.

I still love Vera Bradley. This one might do, but I need to look at others.

Have you looked at Kipling? They have a large variety of bags, similar to Baggallini and many can be found on A...zon, Macy's, Zappos, Kohl's. I bought one 7 years ago as my travel bag when I went to Ireland - it's lightweight nylon, has handy compartments, a back zip pocket, a front pocket with a flap and on the inside there's another zip pocket and on the other side smaller open pockets. It has one adjustable strap that can be worn crossbody or easily shortened and used as a shoulder bag or handbag. The style is Aisling and it comes in several colors. It looks like different stores may offer different colors.

Wish I could help. I do carry an organizing bag, a Hobo, but I think it would be too small to handle all the items you need to carry. Perhaps one of that brand’s larger purses would work for you, though. I think most Hobo bags have internal pockets and dividers.

I'm no help on the purse front, but jumping in to say I'm glad to see you posting, Oakley. I thought about you when I heard about the tornadoes in OK.

But, wait, on the purse front, it sounds like you may need to check them out in person. So a trip to a department store may be beneficial.

Oakley, check out Hedgren brand bags too. Similar to Baggalini.

I went to our closest mall yesterday and was very disappointed by what was available in stores like Nordstrom and Macys. Just not much to choose from in person! I was looking for a few cute tops and left empty handed.

Maire, I looked at Kipling a few minutes ago and will go back and get a better look. I liked what I saw.

Fun, I really don't carry that much, there's lots of room in the middle of the bag. The largest item I have is the VB kiss wallet, which is small. :) What I like about the Bagg I have is the compartments on the outside are used for my immediate needs without having to open the purse and dig because they're all tiny items.

I'm curious what everyone else carries in their day to day handbags. Betcha no one has a fan!

Feathers, that's so sweet to think of me. Sunday night with all the destructive tornadoes around, earlier that evening a circulating wall cloud was about 8 miles away coming straight at us. Four miles from us it produced a small tornado, F1, and it took powerlines out and hurt some metal buildings, but no homes were around. Then it went kaput. We had to stay up late watching the weather because more lines of tornadic storms were heading our way, but we got lucky. I did find my missing metal water container in the cellar, it's been down there for a few years. Happy!

If a dept store was five minutes away I'd already have a new purse. :)

I've been keeping this to myself since Christmas. My son's sweet fiancee gave me a Frye handbag.

The color was Cognac, my favorite leather color. They're sold out of the cognac, but this is the purse.

It came in a beautiful Frye box too. I gushed and gushed, and she jokingly said, "if it's not your style I'll take it!" She loves Frye. At the time she didn't know I have ADD and need organization, and I knew I wouldn't use it.

I gave it a few days then told her I'd love for her to take the bag because it was a bit too big for me, and I loved her for such thoughtful gift. It's her everyday bag because she puts her laptop in it and small necessities. It goes everywhere with her. That made me happy.

Mostly I grab a card and head into the grocery store and leave my phone in the car for most things. My bag stays in the car. But when I carry it it has my phone, car keys, a small wallet and two tiny little bags. One has lipsticks and one has nail clippers Band-Aids safety pins, sweet and low and a teeny tiny little makeup container. Sometimes I also carry hand sanitizer and a small lotion but that's it. Everything else stays in the car. I can carry a smallish bag these days but I still like big ones. I like the way they look on me.

That was sweet to speak up and let your son's fiance use the bag. I'll add that I've machine washed my Kipling bag a few times during Covid when we were extra cautious about germs.

I personally don't care for the wide straps that are on so many bags. Too often they're bulky and stiff and just not necessary unless you're carrying a really heavy bag. My Kipling has a softer, woven cloth strap and it doesn't slip off my shoulder.

I carry the Kipling every day to run errands or go to the pool - it's durable and I've thrown it into the back of the car hundreds of times. However I have lots of bags and love switching them whenever I'm going somewhere other than the food store.

Another brand that's comparable is Lug. They have quite a few bags that have an exterior side pocket that can hold a water bottle or an umbrella. I don't usually carry a bottle of water around but if I did I'd definitely look at Lug. There are 2 sisters in my gym class and that's what they use every day.

Thanks for the new brand selections. I'm ready for faux leather, but what I want is usually canvas. I'm not going hiking. :)

Times when we know a bad storm is coming I take my purse and another one for essentials, meds, etc. Sunday morning I knew we were in for bad weather so I went through my bags to find one smaller than the tote I used to take.

I found the perfect bag in my closet and it has outer pockets and zippers similar to my Bagg. But I'm over floral.

Sunday night all I took with me was an iPad and Kindle. Fit this bag perfectly!

Below is like my old bag but another color. I think it's retired or discontinued.
