I need help with front double door!

When I ordered my beautiful front double door, I picked the color on the outside to match my exterior dark color but did not take into account my interior trim was light, clear knotty alder to be specific. HOW can I make this look better. HELP!

If possible, I would stain the trim around the door to match the door in so that it just blends in.

People have storm doors because, they open doors and pull down the screen for air. A storm door has a security lock on it, for safety. Phantom screens are wrecked by children and pets go right through them and can escape your property and end lost or worse. I personally, would never ever be without storm doors on my house. I have very nice wood doors, and they are original to the house and still in excellent condition because they were protected with storm doors.

Go with brushed nickel. Your door is kind of like a statement piece while also providing you security(the latter being the most important of course). A lot of times, people think they have to match hardware inside and out; not the case. I agree with your hubby, ORB does not add significant contrast to the look of your door but hey, it is not like people can see it from the sidewalk or street. Just want you to realize your front door knobs don't have to match your interior ones if you don't want to. Don't feel like you have spend a few hundred changing all of your interior doorknobs to match your exterior one. :D

I’m no help because I like the blue green color. I think it plays well with the walls. But you can try a darker color. Otherwise I like the suggestion to sand and clear coat. Your house is SO SO SOO Beautiful btw!! Absolutely amazing :)

Trying to get a better grasp of what's going on here...

Is this a new build?

A remodel?

Is the trim already "finished", as in has it been stained or sealed?

Is the trim throughout the rest of the home the same?

The jamb extensions on the window appear to be painted, what's the plan there?

Having a different color door than the trim surrounding it is not entirely uncommon, although you have a lot going on there with that combined with the windows/jambs that appear to be white or beige. If the window is to remain as is, and this "scheme" matches the rest of the house, you could consider painting the interior side of the door to match that. I'll defer to those that specialize in design here, however that would look better to my eye and create some consistency.
