I use the screen capture utility Picpick for things like that. It is recommended on gizmo's site. Push the print screen key and it opens, select capture region and hold down the mouse key to draw a rectangle around the puzzle and you can print it, paste it, save it or other options.

there are many really good useful screen capture free programs out there, bobs link to those at gizmo provides several of the top choices. Many have the editing stuff all built in to them. On my linux I have one called ksnapshot which is so easy to use wish they had just that item for windows. On windows I have used a few including the gadwin program and I have used this one Screenpresso logo and the picpick one mentioned at the gizmo site. I had no idea the pdf select tool would not work on some items. That is strange. on the ones y'all tried it on had you actually saved the pdf file to your pc or were you viewing the pdf file from the online site? just wondering if that would make any difference. I have never encountered that problem.

Thanks for mentioning this! I am having so much fun exploring my new house. I've been looking for a decent 3D program with more options than the IKEA room planner. That program did a better job of letting me really dig into my kitchen layout and cabinet plans but I couldn't put in furniture. This works so much better for actually getting into the rooms and walking around to make sure that it correlates and there is enough room for everything we want / need to include. And with DH traveling he can actually see what I am talking about when we discuss changes. So far, I've created our great room & kitchen, our master suite and will focus on my craft room and DH's office next. I'll have our whole house planned out in 3D before we even start digging.

I agree with homepro01 regarding Geek Squad. Years ago Best Buy had a really good computer repair department. However, with the establishment of the Geek Squad, all of their good repairmen were left without a job at Best Geek Squad employees are barely knowledgeable. Don't take a good computer to them. Don't even take a bad computer to them. Sheeisback, Apple does occasionally have a virus; but few and far between. My granddaughters have had Apple laptops and iPhones for years and have never had a virus. I finally just got a MacBook Pro laptop. The main reason is the practically virus-free aspect. I have lost everything on Window computers three times due to viruses and decided No More. So, I am learning the Apple, too. I am also keeping my Windows 10 desktop, but will put all of my important stuff on the Apple. Also plan on purchasing an external drive for the Apple to put items on. That way if there is a virus and the external drive is not connected, material will not be lost. I do have an external drive for my desktop, but when this last virus hit, it was connected via USB, so the virus hit the external drive, too. Learned a valuable lesson.
