i have shx58e15uc. it doesn't have panels - stainless model so that might be difference.
I do really like it. the third rack is very useful and we took out the basket which leaves plenty of room for dishes. and the racks are better than my old bosch. its not much quieter than my old bosch (was 8 years old) but quiet enough. it has a water softener so thats better. it is made in germany. a price check - i bought it for $1080USD and got a 15% reabte on top of that because i bought 3 bosch appliances.

How do I look into that instant rebate you are speaking of? I am definitely debating between a Bosch and Asko DW Integrated and will be covered with panel to match my cabinetry. I was specifically looking at the Bosch SHV68E13UC, but compared to the model you mentioned, it is a $500 difference in price and I don't know if I can justify the price. The big difference that I am being sold on is the "Sanitize Option with Enhanced Drying" which is huge to me since I have little ones and still, a lot of "plastics". It also has a "plastics" cycle. I really loved the Asko, but not the price and believe that the Bosch is much quieter as I have witnessed both units actually running. The Bosch is awesome if concerned with sound. I will follow this post as I hope that there will be some people to respond which will help in making my decision as well as yours! Good Luck to you...:)

@sophie123: Thanks for directing me to the model shx58e15uc. It seems the only difference between that and the shv58e13uc is that the shx58 is a stainless steel door while shv58 is the custom panel. I'm trying to find Canadian pricing for the shx58e15uc. I'm actually looking for a SS door model, but the salesperson at this particular store told me he can sell me the SHV58 model with a custom panel that is stainless steel with a SS bar handle, which would effectively make it similar to the SHX58. But I was not particular fond of the look of the custom SS panel (the door had rounded edges and the SS handle protruded much more than the standard SS handles). So if I can grab a shx58 for similar price, I would do it in a heartbeat. I'll keep digging... I hope the SHX58 is not a U.S. only model.

I think the SHX was discontinued in US (i saw a post about that recently because someone else was looking for it). I just bought it in June so that was quick!

If you want SS i would not get the panel version. Its seems harder to keep clean in my mind. The only advantage is you can change it out in the future.

I have the same one sophie123 has. Love it! Replaced a brand new Kitchenaid model with the Bosch since the Kitchenaid vented in to my cabinets (on the side). The Bosch is quiet, holds a HUGE amount of dishes, pots, pans, etc...and the cutlery rack is awesone...I wouldn't get another dishwasher without one. It is also very good at drying once you make the adjustments in the control panel.

@sophie123: Yes, you're right. I checked with a number of local retailers and I've been told the SHX58E15UC is discontinued, replaced by the SHX7ER55UC which now costs a few hundred dollars more.

So it seems my only option is to get the SHV58E13UC and get a custom stainless steel panel put on it.

@fivefootzero: Can you explain more about what adjustments are required to get good drying on this model?

Here is the info from the owners manual. I copy and pasted from a previous thread of mine.

One thing I recommend is reading the manual thoroughly. I apparently do not need to add salt, as my water isn't hard enough (according to the test strip supplied with the unit). Also, most of the variables (water softener, jet dry, intensive drying) are factory set to "OFF". One important one is "INTENSIVE DRYING". This helps with drying, and I had turned it on last night for the second load and it definitely helped. Here are the instructions if anyone needs them:

Intensive drying
The final rinse uses a higher temperature which improves the drying result.
The running time may increase slightly. (Caution if utensils are delicate!)
1. Open the door. (for hidden controls only). Turn unit on using the ON/OFF button.
Hold down "A" button and press START the digital display shows "H:00".
2. Release both buttons.
3. Press button "A" until the display indicates "d:00"
To change the setting,
4. Press button "C" (see page 4) to turn intensive drying ON = d:01 or OFF = d:00
5. Press START button. The set value is saved.
6. Close the door (for hidden controls only).
