The client on this project was downsizing from a much larger home in the same community but was looking for a smaller, easier to maintain space as she contemplated retirement and increased travel.
A major plus for the property was the same spectacular ocean view out the front of the house my client had enjoyed in her previous home. Another important factor was that the approximately 1100 sq. ft. footprint of the house built on grade allowed for one level living on the top level while an occupied rental suite on the bottom level was very separate with its own ground level entrance.
The cons included a cramped galley kitchen with a view-blocking wall separating it from the main living space and dark forest green in combination with salmon pink walls throughout which had turned off other buyers.
