At the end of this project, my client turned to me and said, "Linda, I know you had a hand in it, but when I come home, it's me!" I can think of no higher compliment I'd like to have from any client. This is precisely what I mean when I say, Your Story is My Inspiration.
Inspired by a remnant of turquoise fabric which had belonged to the client's mother, this dining room needed to become a warm space, and be compatible with the organic and natural colors of the rest of the home. The fabric was framed, and new works of art in turquoise, to complement the fabric and balance the color, were found and purchased on the client's behalf. A new boat shaped dining table, new upholstered chairs and more contemporary lighting, were added to the space. And then a quiet but interesting window treatment was added. This room was awarded second place in Whole Room Integration in the 2010 Window Fashions VISION magazine Envision Design Competition.
