Can't post comment

I can read and hit "like" for other posts but cannot post comments of my own. I have restarted the computer. Had just finished updating and defragging the comp as well. Now what do I do?

Hi Jeannie. Just wanted to let you know that the "view comment" button appears to be working now. Thanks for your help with that from me and the many other Houzzers that were having problems with it. To all that work in IT and on the website, keep up the great work!

Hi, are you still experiencing this issue? May I ask what browser you're using?

Hi... no, it was the browser and I did get that fixed. HOWEVER, many of us are experiencing a problem with the "view comment" button in the email notifications that are sent when "someone liked your comment". The button is linking to the main advice window instead of the comment that was "liked". Is that a known issue that is being addressed or is this something new? It is very annoying to have to go through multiple steps just to see the comment.

Another issue recently seems to be that some of the notifications are getting backlogged and then suddenly there is an onslaught of emails regarding comments or discussions that were several days ago. Perhaps there was some type of glitch created in whatever the last update was?

I know it's very difficult running a website as complicated as this one and we all appreciate the tremendous effort put in to doing so. Thanks for all the Houzz team does to give us such an amazing resource site.

For some reason, I can't post a comment to your message, so I'm starting another thread. A 1/2" shower door may be very heavy, so consider 3/8" for the door, while keeping the fixed panels 1/2". You really won't notice the difference in depth for the door. I'm speaking from experience.

..I don't know if this helps anyone, but I have just discovered something to my satisfaction. ...I use 3 browsers at different times, IE, Firefox and Chrome. I only have the problem of text missing on the right hand side of page when I use IE. On IE I also have my 'favourites' as a column on the left hand side. If I remove this column then all of a sudden I can read the whole text... in fact I don't even have to remove my 'favourites' column altogether but merely narrow the vertical margin by moving my cursor onto the line, then seeing and little right and left arrows, and moving the line further to the left, until I see the page corrects itself, and I can read normally... ..Tamara mentioned something about this earlier. It's a simple workaround when using IE on some threads here...

Don't know what is going on: but it seems like I can originate a post, but not comment on any, including my own. I can type something into the comment box, but there is no "post" button, so it can't go anywhere. Nor does clicking on "say thank you" or "like" result in anything. I guess someone's found a way to shut me up?! :( So, I thank you for your replies, but have to make a new post to say so.

I can't comment on posts either. there is a link that says sign up to comment. but everything either takes me to an advertisement or my profile.

Hi Rob, when you click Sign Up or Sign in do you not go to the sign in page?
