My new living room-Before and After/Lots of Pics
Comments (12)Thank you all for your messages! rucnmom----omg is his voice annoying or what?! I didnt even realize he was in the pic lol. msrose---dh was against us replacing the carpet as our old one was in such nice good condition. but it was kelly green during the day, forest green at night and i couldn't handle it anymore. soooooo, to get me to keep quiet, he allowed me to order a new one. whoo hoo!! dgmarie----i thought of changing the curtains but i begged him about a year and 1/2 ago to let me buy them and they cost me $160 a window so i have to live with them at least another year. i have no where else I can use them and it would be wasteful to just get rid of them. *sighs* happyladi-----i had the table next to the sofa but it blocked the clock. i have to wait to ask DH to move the clock and the pics. for now i can live with it. :o) i was so excited to share all of this with you!!!...See MoreMy DR chairs are done! Comments (18)I have considered using a rug, but with the holidays quickly approaching, I will wait until January to think about it. I'm not sure how to coordinate with the rug in the LR since the whole area is an L-shaped LR/DR. I also like the ease of clean-up and the ease of moving the chairs with the felt pads with the bare wood floor....See MoreBefore and After From Family Room to Dining Room TO KITCHEN
Comments (49)Okay - a few wanted a few more pics of our remodel - and if you'd like to give suggestions I would love them! The plaid chairs is where the kitchen use to be - post hasn't been trimmed out yet (it's a weight bearing). The family room use to be a finished wood shop. Since it was attached to our home - it was a no-brianer to make use of the finished square footage. Now - my dilemma. The colors don't match. Does the striped wall go with the kitchen (paint color: revere pewter). I would love these three areas (sitting area- plaid chairs, kitchen and family room) to look great together since they are adjoining. Sorry this is turned on it side - can't get fixed. Room is large and couch is unfortunately needs to stay - it's new. Wall art - needs to be fixed :( this was the wood shop - turned into family room...See MoreDIY Family Room on a Budget Reveal Before/After Pics
Comments (33)The overall look is vastly improved, you've done a wonderful job. My only caveat is the TV wall, which looks too busy for a room that has a busy (although very nice) rug. I would streamline that wall extensively, and consider doing something different in the hallway where there are the three round objects. I would also eliminate the pouf by the chair, and reconsider the vertical row of pictures, which might look better placed horizontally in the hall. This is all minor stuff, the new look is awesome!...See Moresaltcitybabe
