I really agree with mistascott's suggestions in the first response. It seems that overall there needs to be more streamlined organization; make the site more user friendly and efficient. There is such a tremendous wealth of invaluable information and ideas here, but it takes too much time to read through it all! Most users don't have enough time to read all the forums and posts that interest them; it would be very helpful to know which items are currently very active. Just as news sites list 'most read stories', provide us with these leads. Even the 'thumbs up' option suggested above would help, if totals were listed by thread titles on the forums' main page. As many have said, the simplicity and uncluttered look of the post pages is a welcome relief from most sites. Often one thread leads us to a similar topic or question; how do we easily move there? When we find a member whose posts provide amazing info, how do we locate his/her other writings and photos? Can simple color-coded links be used? Lastly, the Garden Galleries section needs reorganization please! There's not even a categories list on the main page! I am a strong visual learner and I look for picture examples constantly. They are here on this site, but often buried in posts. Can there be a photo index? Thank you for considering our ideas and imput.

They would hack it in order to get personal information. The scam works this way: they hack in, get emails of members, sign those members out, then send a mail to those persons telling them that their account was hacked and to click on a link to re-set their password. Those foolish enough to click on the link are taken to a site that requests personal info under the guise of re-setting their passwords ~OR~ clicking the link introduces malware to their computers. Either way, it aint good. Another possibility could be that the email was legit and a few members' accounts were actually compromised. The way to protect yourself is to never click on a link in an email, but to go instead to your account via the forum's url to re-set your password, if you deem it necessary. The BEST way to protect yourself is to put zero sensitive personal info on any social media site. Emails and geographic locations are not sensitive, but birthdates, the name of your mother's maiden name, and the like could hurt hurt you if an identity thief gets hold of this info.

Just want to let people know that Bassett allowed hackers to steal customer data from their website for nearly two years. According to the letter I just received from Bassett, hackers inserted a program into their website software. But hacker code increases the size of website software. A basic security practice is to monitor the size of the software to at least detect this type of attack. After every software change, the actual size should be checked against the expected size. I don’t want to do business with a company that doesn’t have basic security practices to protect customer data. Regardless of the quality of their products.
