We had a mis-delivery to our house today. Someone's Black Friday order. 3 rolls of Christmas lights. $90. It doesn't have a name OR address on the packages or I would have delivered them to the correct person. I called Lowes, gave them the order #, they said to keep them. I'll donate them to our HOA. They needed NEW lights! yay!

I picked up laundry detergent. $13.98 x 2 . (They had a price drop of $6. It's supposed to be their NEW regular price)

And....a pair of Danskin leggings in navy, with side pocket.

See? Nicole doesn't even have to go out and find stuff. It finds her!

The theory is good for calming some cats (whether a self adhesive wrap, a towel, or a wear-all-day coat), but who knows if it will work for Pooky. Cats are weird, and I love them for it. Tell us how it goes.

My Black Friday deals have been very utilitarian, like new running shoes and some more of my favourite tea. I did order a custom garden flag with one of my photos on it, but it's not here yet and I don't know if it will be worthwhile.

I’m not much of a shopper, but I was a little miffed when a saw the Costco online flyer and there were a couple of items that I had just bought that week on sale.

I emailed customer service and got two emails back within the day. 🤠 I got a price adjustment.

Here’s our find. We found it on our doorstep at 7am Friday morning. It’s from my dad’s estate attorney’s firm. M&Ms with the firm initials on one side. (I did personalized M&Ms one year for our ”almond elf gift” but they were cuter)

Sorry that the little squirrels are mooning us, they don’t want to back into their ”autumn decor” storage.

I did buy a few things, nothing huge. A new Yeti coffee mug and a book for DH, the eye cream i use was on sale and I’m close enough to being out it was worth ordering, a cover for my new laptop (see below), and some other items I needed that might have been marked down some but I didn’t have to run out and shop so it went into my cart.

DH and I are also replacing several outdoor lights and our favorite local lighting store had a sale last week. We picked out a new light for the front entry and 2 for the columns by our driveway entry. Merry Christmas to each other. I also needed a new laptop so ordered a new 13” Macbook Air Friday and got a $175 gift cert besides the discount thru Apple (military discount). DH needs a new iPad so we’ll hopefully use the gift card today to buy him a new iPad. I’m happy how the gift card thing turned out.

My DH will wear his casual clothes until they turn into rags. I'm tired of nagging him about it. Land's End had the half-zip kind of pullover sweater he favors on sale for 50% off plus another 12% off. I made him pick some colors and ordered 5 new ones for him. Spent enough to get free shipping. Mission accomplished. I do think they were overpriced to begin with but am happy with the total spent.

Hobbitmom, no bargains here because I, too, don't need anything but I wanted to share my experience with clipping cat's claws. I took a real beating from my cat, Rocket, when it came to trimming his claws. Then I found a great product that allowed me to clip his nails quickly without fighting. It's a muzzle/blindfold that is easy to put on, clip the nails and take it right off. Here's the link. It was a miracle product for me. Good luck and if the wrap doesn't work, try the muzzle.

roxsolid -- IDK if you needed to contact Costco for a price adjustment. Recently I saw a discount on two items I'd already ordered to be delivered. Costco initiated the discount without my asking -- but I had not yet received them.

chisue, I’ve had them do that as well.

These two items had already been delivered and charged full price on statement. I received them on Tuesday. I just thought I would nip it in the bud. Costco has great customer service!

@murraysmom Zone 6a OH..... Thanks for the tip. The wrap arrived today. To augment my strategy, feeble as it may be, I have placed the wrap on her couch, for her to lay on it, and maybe leave her scent on it before the big day.

I wish you much good luck. I don't have a cat anymore but Rocket really tested my patience. The battles were royal. Once I had the blindfold/muzzle, it was like a miracle. You know how if you put clothes on your cat and they "freeze"? This muzzle accomplishes the same thing and also they can't bite you. You get it done so quick that there really is no inconvenience to cat at all.

Does the wrap enclose her face as well? If she still has her head out, it may not work as well as you hope. But maybe she will give up the battle. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you!! Let me know how it goes.
