Blanco Biscotti sink?
Comments (9)In the photo, the biscotti appears very yellow to me. Is it? I echo your concerns about the all of those colors. The brown will show less dirt and grime in your sink so it will look cleaner even when dirty. Call or e-mail Blanco and have them send you a sample of the biscotti. I did that when I was considering using a brown Blanco with a brown Elkay. I wanted to make sure the two would work together. (BTW, I have heard lately from a couple people that the Blanco sinks are of higher quality and are wearing much better than Elkay.) I received a sample in the mail in about a week! Do you have that kind of time? If not, then it sounds like a roadtrip for you! I hope you win on the brown sink too. Aren't you the one who does most of the cooking and sink scrubbing after all??! ;) Let him "help" with the cab pulls....See MoreWeek 81: Christmas!!
Comments (43)At 5'2" I've complained about hemming for years. My 5'9" and 5'8" sisters don't have my woes in life. OTOH, I can put on my shoes, then put on their shoes on top and remind that that we've never been a canoeing family, although we do love the water. Or at least I did when we were kids. A long time ago, though, I remembered (a) man's best friend: Duct tape. It'll last 10-12 washings just fine. When going more casual, such as jeans: staples. With the flat side on the inside so 1) it doesn't glint in the light so much, and 2) so the bent edges don't snag my socks. Rolling up pants and cuffs on pants visually make one look shorter. Like you elegant and tall bean poles have to worry about that! And MEN::::::: Those puddles of pants down around your ankles, and your waistband around the tops of your thighs? OH, do they make you look not only deformed, but short-legged. Why does the underwear stay up, but the pants not? This is still somewhat of a fashion 'round here. I've even seen dress suits "hemmed" to look like they're pooling (I think curtains) around the model's ankles. Just my fashion rant for the day. Today it's supposed to be in the 50s. Back out side I'm going to work on a raised garden bed again. Got it 1/4 of the way done. Lots of digging to revamp a 13 year old bed that's been neglected and is disintegrating. It'll be cool, I think. Enjoy the day, all!...See MoreHow Many Did Any Black Friday Shopping?
Comments (38)I went to our local Meijer on Thanksgiving day to take advantage of 3 of the "one day only" items that were financially worth it to me enough to tempt me there -- but hated that they do that (and that I gave in to it), it creates this circle of "demand was there" so people came, but if they offered them on Friday instead the demand would still be there and they wouldn't have to require so many to staff the store on Thursday. In fact, on Friday it turned out that they offered one of the "one day only" items again, and a better offer on a similar of the other. I went to Old Navy on Friday to get the $10 jackets. The line was not as long as I've seen in the past. Also stopped at Walmart late in the day to get the very cheap ($2) towels -- I have a special use for them. I have seriously considered getting one of the smart TVs but still not convinced that it is essential to my plan for cutting the cable, so I am waiting....See MoreDo Best Buy stores in the States do this for Black Friday?
