I'll try to post a pic but it keeps just getting "stuck". Cooks in about 15 minutes.

Cool! I had to look up the word--I've eaten the lacy leaves version. Amzing what you can make in an air fryer.

You can make crisped up vegetables and potatoes by tossing in a little good oil and seasoning/herbs/spices and laying them out on a baking sheet and putting them in any good oven at 375-425° F, depending on the oven and type/thickness/density, for 40-75 minutes, depending on all the previous. If you like battered or breaded fried meats, when they're well prepared, they actually steam in their own moisture, which is held in by the coating. You can get a fairly similar result if you spray the outside with oil and put in the oven, but you can also get rid of the coating by using moist cooking methods such as steaming and braising. @Monique: "They are...terrible microwaves" In CR's tests, as a group over-the-range microwave ovens performed just as well as countertop models. While it didn't achieve a recommended rating, the LG MHEC1737F with air fry (Best Buy, Home Depot) performed reasonably well in its tests. @cpartist: "It's actually dangerous to have an over the stove microwave." There are millions of OTR microwave ovens installed. Provide proof of this statement.

I don't use the oven much in summer. I switch to stove top for most things, if it's too hot to grill outside. For example, for chicken breast, I sprinkle with a pinch of baking soda and rub it all over, to encourage browning. Preheat pan, brown in a bit of olive oil, add a few tablespoons of water, cover and cook until done. The water mostly evaporates and I add a few tablespoons more if needed. Before cooking I make a deep cut into the thickest part and spread it a bit, so it's about the same thickness as the thinner part. I do that no matter how I cook it. Cooks much faster. Much cooler than putting on the oven. I share your non-stick concerns, and don't want another appliance.

I was the same way (didn’t want another appliance), but I’ve used a few brands over time (including a Philips model), and honestly, they all shine when it comes to quick, crispy cooking. Some of my favourite things to make: Salmon — absolutely yes. Brush with a little oil, season, and air fry at about 400°F/200°C for 8–10 minutes. Stays juicy and gets slightly crisp on the edges. Veggies — broccoli, Brussels sprouts, carrots, green beans. Toss with a tiny bit of oil + seasoning. Air fryers (including my old Philips) caramelise veggies way better than a standard oven. Frozen snacks — fries, dumplings, nuggets, fish sticks. No need for extra oil and they come out properly crisp. Chicken thighs — bone-in or boneless both turn out great. Crispy skin, tender inside. Toasted sandwiches — melts cheese without soggy bread. Leftovers — pizza, roasted potatoes, wings… the air fryer basically “revives” them.

Never tried THAT! I like to have a small amount of bread on hand....cool idea. Glad to hear it worked for you. 🍞(I also looked up your term....hhhmmm....)

I make it like many Italians make dough. Easy. No knead.

300g flour,

1 sachet of yeast

Salt

210g water. Mix it all together with a spoon. Cover and leave 30 minutes.

Drizzle oil over the surface, fold over itself 3 or 4 times and leave again 20 mins. Repeat. Put in a small baking tin and drizzle with oil again. Leave 20 mins. Poke holes with your fingers, drizzle again with oil, sprinkle with salt and cook 180°C for about 15 mins.

I use the same recipe for pizza.

That looks really good, I never tried bread in the airfryer. Do you also bake the pizza in the airfyer?

That looks great and is a streamlined recipe. Have you attempted to shape it into the leaf shape? Do typical add-ons like olives or herbs work? .
