I'm really late on this because Elery's family has been visiting from Tennessee and just left for home.

Before that, I had a forum friend visit, Lpinkmountain! She's from Michigan too, and she was in the area, so we planned a quick visit as she had some other obligations that brought her here. I was expecting a quick visit with snack and a visit with L, her husband and their dog, who I have not yet met.

Things happened, plans changed and L got here a couple of hours early. I had baked a blueberry buckle because the very first time we met, we went blueberry picking. Of course, she brought muffins, she said they were Marlen's Love Muffins. We had our snack and tried to catch up on everything that was going on in both of our lives. I hadn't planned supper because she couldn't stay, but we talked and discussed and gossiped. She ended up staying later than she planned and we never did have supper because we didn't shut up long enough, LOL. When the "short" visit stretched out to 6 hours, while snacking on blueberry buckle and muffins, she left for her original purpose, although I think it may have been too late for her to complete all her planned activities!

It was so good to see her, and so nice to catch up on everything that is going on for both of us. I still feel like a neglectful hostess for not fixing something for a meal, but we didn't want to stop talking long enough to cook, I guess.

I didn't think to take any pictures either, so you will have to just be happy with a "day after" photo of the muffins, which were a delicious mix of black raspberries and white chocolate, very yummy.

L, we have to get together more often, I miss you!
