Live Aid was happening simultaneously here in Philadelphia. Lots of discussion going on about it now. Sorry I wasnt there although I was part of the Woodstock generation. Wasnt there either. Those who went to Live Aid said besides being incredible, it was also extremely hot. They were spraying the crowd with fire hoses.

I keep meaning to switch my user name again... Ten years ago, I think I was already on GW--I suspect I came on slightly after Andie, because I think it was just about the time the GP started. I had an Internet connection of sorts in the early '90s--something called "Prodigy" that was pretty basic and didn't have much of a graphic interface. I switched to a Mac in '94 and started using the precursor to Netscape. I ventured onto GW when I had a question about black tomatoes. I chose my user name accordingly. Bigfoot was one of the first to answer my question, along with a Robin from Calif. Suzanne, Diana was the dark-haired daughter of a Nobel physicist. I saw her name in the paper not too long ago in a listing of area how-to classes (hers was mosaics). I'm in that group photo of Linda C's too, looking, unfortunately, rather better and younger than I do now. And, Linda C, I fear the martini drinker may have been me. Oh Brag Brag Brag Ricky you were just a snot nosed 13yr old while I was a maturing 16! My Dad had the "Hello Mudda, hello Faddah...here I am at Camp.......they said we'd have some fun if it stops raining" album. He also played that on Sunday Ohhhhh Bethie, now you are digging into Eric Burton and the Animals there! What about good Ol "It's My Party and I'll Cry If I want to..."? Leslie Gore anyone? Ricky you opened up a can of Oldies but Goodies Worms for sure! FAR OUT!!! Let's Twist Again like we did last summer! (wait a minute, the only thing I twist any more is my ankles!)

Yes, foils and then toner. The toner is what is to help with any brassy tones. I highlight my own hair. It does not come with a toner. However, I leave it in for as long as needed until I get the shade of blonde I want. I hav been using the same product for 15 years. So, I know what the outcome will be. It is funny but I will only use this one brand and type of highlighting kit. All the others I have tried leave my hair looking orangish. This is the only one that works at getting me the golden blonde I like. It comes with the pull through cap which I do not use. I just use my fingers. Frost and Glow

Young and married, wrong side of the country we didn't get to go but I've watched parts of it several times over the years. Freddie Mercury was amazing and I've watched his performance that night even recently.

****How is it that all these things make me feel old.....Ask my nephews about some of these groups and they don't know who I mean.

Seeing that made me very nostalgic, a little bit sad, and yes, feeling old - I was just 19 at the time of the concerts.

Freddie Mercury had so much talent and was an unbelievable performer live on stage - !! The Radio gaga video is amazing. Growing up my brother had all of the latest stereo equipment and music, I heard most of the Queen albums coming from his bedroom in heavy rotation as kid. It is still great music and Queen's music will be playing on a radio somewhere until the end of time, I am sure!
