Not a Computer, But Mobile Phone

last month
last modified: last month

I figured the computer buffs here are equally conversant with mobile phones, so I'll ask...

About 6 months ago, my phone (Nokia 7 Plus) stopped taking a recharge. It sat on 52%, but when I tried to charge it, went backwards, down to 46% or lower. Figured the battery was past it. Kept trying occasionally for a couple of weeks, same result, then gave up and bought a new phone. Very happy with it. But the old phone has been sitting on my desk for that time. Today, out of curiosity, I put it back on the charger. Still showing 52%, which surprised me. After an hour, it has recharged back to 100%.

Is it worth keeping or giving to a friend who badly needs updating? I don't want to gift a dud!
