New Series "Ludwig"

DH and I are enjoying this March 2025 series on BritBox. Well, I like it more than DH, who thinks it's "too slow". Somebody likes it well enough for it to have been renewed. (See if you can spot Derek Jacobi in one episode.

My husband is not a British mystery fan; however, that's pretty much all I watch. iI discovered Ludwig a few weeks back, and am caught up to the current episiode, 5 I believe. My husband has gotten hooked on the show, too.

You might also like After the Flood which only ran for 1 season. I had read there was going to be a season 2, but haven't seen any further mention. And, lordy , there are others…just “brilliant”.

I absolutely loved Ludwig! I watched the last episode last night. I'm delighted that there will be a second series.

Glad to hear everyone else is as excited about Ludwig's as I am. I live in Phoenix & it is my new favorite place! I'm in every week buying new roses now... I've gotten 12 from them already; South Africa, Mama Africa, Papi Delbard, Arctic Ice, Garden & Home, Pretty Lady, Red Intuition, Spiced Coffee, Anne Lorentz, Rosita Missoni, Fragrant Cloud & Kardinal Kolorscape. Loving everything so far! There are a ton of others I have my eye on. The staff is so friendly & Ludwig's daughter Anja is incredibly helpful! They've been planting all the roses in a garden around the nursery & it's great to see them growing & blooming so beautifully!

I was checking the website every few hours for many days. I guess I (we) can give it a rest for awhile now. Altho, I just love to go over all the roses that are there and mull over which ones I want the most... til the rest of them get put up!

Going to Ludwig's! Bella di Todi?

Will do on the pics. My husband jokingly said we'll run our other errands after the 4 hours I'll spend at Ludwig's. Good thing he's prepared. lol And, no talk of budget yet. I guess that means it's whatever I can fit in the car. Summersrhythm, we don't get so lucky as to have varied selections at our single big box hardware store like it sounds like you do. Ours is very generic and small inventories.

Mcnastarana – I totally agree. Beth, I picked up two Roberto Capucci, St. Patrick, Belle Rouge, Bella di Todi and a Calm Composure which isn’t in HMF, but it’s similar to RC, but a paler pink with a moderate fragrance. Sherbet definitely caught my eye. I didn’t get one because I have quite a lot of mid-range pinks. You should order it! Diane, are you SURE you don’t have room for one more little o’rose bush? Lynn, something “a-rose?” Lol I thought that was cute. If there are specific roses you’re interested in, I’d call first and I also think they could ship to you since that’s a drive for sure unless you have other fun things to do in PHX. Moroseaz, interesting. That makes sense with the way the nursery is set up. I don’t know PHX land values, but it’s too bad it can’t remain sort of a plant co-op maybe even with the City’s help (parks and rec/some kind of grant) and become part co-op, part parking, part park. You must live or work around there to be interested in parking. :-) We had dinner at Hulu’s just up the street from Ludwig’s the night before and it was really good food. Thanks everyone for taking part in the "field trip."

I really enjoy British shows. I recently watched The Boomers, a 6 episode series, 2 seasons. I see Derek Jacoby. He has a beard😁

A friend and I were having coffee the other day and we were talking about British mystery shows that we like. I only watch on PBS and Knowledge so the ones I watch are really old. But I mentioned that I wish I had BritBox and the lady at the table next to us turned and said "You have to get Britbox. It's the best channel" and then she said - if nothing else, just watch it for Ludwig.

I may just have to get it.

My friend has been telling me about it and just this evening sent me a link to watch it using a VPN.

We saw this last year. I like Anna Maxwell-Martin. Has Motherland shown in the US?

floral -- No fair. You see all of these 'fresh out of the wrapper'!

I see that Motherland is coming to Britbox in May -- the first three series.
