Protein bars ........

last month

I bought some stuff from Walmart and instead of my bicycle tire valve caps they sent a box of Robert Irvine's Fitcrunch protein bars. Walmart processed a refund immediately when I notified them of the mixup and told me to keep the protein bars. I sinned (because they are sweet and glycemic) and ate one of the chocolate chip cookie dough bars. I think they are trying to make a case that these are somehow healthy. They do have 16g of protein but they also have 16g of carbs in the form of sugar. $7 for a box of five 1.62 oz bars.

I guess if you are out running the trails or doing a workout, you might need the energy, but I think that people are going to talk themselves into a protein boost because, well, they are deliciously sugary and chocolatey.

Even with the advertising I would not have actually purchased these bars but I am weak and when they were delivered to my door, one got eaten.
