Let's talk about stuffing

last month
last modified: last month

Yeah, it's the day before the turkey roast, and stuffing is on my mind. Of course, I'm making the same mashed potato stuffing I've used for over 60 years, but I'm curious as to what other folks do. I make it the day before and chill it in the fridge until just before loading it into the turkey.

Here's the stuff:

5 lbs of Yukon gold potatoes, cut into quarters and boiled until soft

2 large yellow onions, chopped and sauteed in butter

1 loaf of white bread with all the crust removed and cut into quarters

2 sticks of melted butter

1/4 cup of chopped parsley

1/4 cup of garlic powder

Mix it up, stuff the bird, and roast.
