That was the idea that ”floated” up to me after mulling it over most of my day. @roxsolid - my ’floated up’ comment could have been a hint but totally unintentional on my part. Regarding @foodonastump ’not a hint’ to floral but just ”state the possibility that she might not be familiar with it.” he was referring to Kellogg’s Sultana bran cereal - it’s what UK & Australia eat instead of Raisin Bran that US/Canada has. I had to look that point up. I had never seen the Will Shat commercial for Raisin Bran. That’s why I like these puzzles - I learn so many new things! Really! 😁

foas - you’re East Coast, yes? From West Coast, I know I’ve heard the term ’starters’ for a first course in a more formal dinner or even listed that way on menus. But, apps, the more casual word, is what first comes to mind for me. We definitely say four-uh-ners. A very different sound for the ’IN’ part of inners. My birthplace is MT & I spent adolescence & teen years in AK so I don’t think I have a typical regional accent or speech pattern. A person once told me I sounded like I came from NY. Didn’t say which part but I think that’s the MT influence.

When it comes to partnership, do you like common interests, like music, activities, etc. Or do you prefer opposite sides, just for variety? I prefer the same especially in music.
