I use it. It helps with the shoulder pain, and any joint or arthritis pain.

DH uses it and it works for him.

I've used the generic Diclofenac Sodium 1% in cream form for both knee and hip pain. Even though the instructions say not to use it for hip pain, I have and it worked pretty well.

Works very well on my rheumatoid arthritic joints.

I use it on my arthritic thumb joints and it is a blessing. I'm counseled against it because I'm on Eliquis and there is some risk of stomach bleeding but sometimes the pain is worth the risk to me.

Yes, it’s definitely helped me. About 6 weeks ago, after having a (non-alcoholic) lunch with my DH in Santa Fe, I fell while getting into our car. I broke my right big toe, chip fractured my right elbow, very bruised my right patella, and injured my left hand.at the thumb joint (Metacarpal phalageal joint). I know, a very clumsy, embarassing injury! Anyhoo, my physician recommended Voltaren (among other things🫤) for those injured joint areas and I feel that they’ve definitely helped. My DH is a retired family practice physician and he very much approved of my using it. But, none of these injuries were in major joints like hips, so i can’t be sure of hip joint pain.

i use it on my knees and it helps a lot. one of the side effects is that it can raise blood pressure so be aware of that if you have BP issues.

I didn't find it nearly as effective as Tiger Balm, which I swore by when I was suffering from a frozen shoulder.

I just started using it for foot arthritis. I guess it's helping, not really sure because I have another foot issue too. It comes with a sizable detailed instruction sheet .Says it should not be used over 21 days, but I'm sure people do. Not to use on more that 2 body parts at a time, etc. It's worth a try for you, caflowerlover.

It has been highly recommended. I was looking for something for DH. When I read the packaging it said not to use on neck so I did not purchase it. as the neck was his problem area.

Anyone I know who has used it though was very pleased with it.

When I had some other issues a few years ago, the physical therapist recommeded Bio Freeze and I found it really helpful. Just thought I'd mention that one in case the Voltaren is a no go.

Yes it works for us. I am so glad my bil recommended it. He has since switched to biofreeze and said it works great and lasts longer for him. We have both now, the biofreeze is a roll-on and has a pretty strong menthol smell. As an afterthought have you tried a heating pad or cold pack? just wondering if that would help at all. I hope you find something that works for you.

I took the prescription strength for my knees before it became available over the counter. It worked like magic. I highly reccommend it.

IT comes in different strengths. One is over the counter and the others (2 strengths?) are prescriptions.

Neither DH nor I got any relief from Voltaren.We also tried CBD creams without success.

DH has sore knees. I have pain from scoliosis and spinal stenosis. We both have osteoarthritis. I use lidocaine patches on my back (any brand with 4% lidocaine). I use the small Salonpas non-lidocaine patches on my neck.

I wonder how much relief may come from the stimulation of simply rubbing something on the sore area, and there's always the placebo effect.

It never works for me but BioFreeze does and relieves my pain

I tried it yesterday, and I had my usual reaction to medications that I try. Hives/rash. Dangit! Onto BioFreeze.

I truly hope you fare better than I did.

I read all the instructions and it can take up to 7 days to start working. All kinds of side effects too. And only can use it for 21 days. I'll try it for 7 days then stop like it said in the instructions. No miracle cure out there.

I have used it when my finger arthritis flares, and it helps. I prefer to use it rather than something oral, thinking that it will be less prone to causing stomach irritation (not sure though).

You reminded me that I should use it on my recovering ankle, since the MRI said there is significant arthritis in the joint and that seems to be what is causing some of the persistent pain. Never had symptoms there before the injury - the ortho said the sprain probably triggered it.

Voltaren didn't help me and I absolutely cannot stand the odor. Tiger Balm definitely helps relieve the pain in my thumb.
