Life's too short to eat bad pasta!

A friend gave me a gift while I was convalescing. A bag full of components for "easy to assemble" meals. Very kind gift. Nothing that really called to be eaten, or that the minions would like There was a pound bag of really cute pasta however, like a ruffle looking for a party dress. I was going to make the recipe Chloebud posted for fresh tomatoes because it got too late to make the soup. I figured I'd just cook the whole bag and maybe try the mushroom pasta salad recipe that Judi posted with the extra.

UGH!! This pasta falls apart when hydrated, losing its ruffles and cuteness, and it tastes like wet white flour! It's really bad. Really bad. I'm used to pasta with tooth and flavor. I put the not-so-cute pasta in a bag in the fridge where the minions can take it if they want it.

Dinner was refrigerator velcro as John Liu would say. It was a lot better than the pasta. I'll try to get back to the recipe again before the tomatoes get old... P>>> (that's an old fashioned p-raspberry).
