Miss me. I finally got home.

I broke my right hip on July 7th. I spent 5 days in the hospital and 24+days at the nursing home. I couldn't take it anymore. I had to get out there. They tried to fight us. DH made the house ADA compliant or as much as he could without gutting the whole house. He put in a wheelchair ramp, grab bars in the bathroom, and a recliner that rises you to a standing position. He uses Gait belts to help me in and out of the wheelchair, on and off the toliet, and in and out the recliner. Plus got a new car, the 22 YO Jeep was too hard to get into. He got Toyota Rav 4, which is lower. Compared to my old Jeep, alot smother ride.

They had a meeting without telling us. PT and OT gave their opinion which always agreed with the nursing home. According to them, I need to be able to walk independantly. I have used a black walker for 3 + years to get around. I will never be able to walk on my own again without a walker. Of course we had to sign a paper, AMA (Against Medical Advice), saying they are not responable. And no PT, .OT, home care at home. Because of my Parkinsons and scoliosis I will always have a risk of falling. And all I ever got there was PT 3 times a week for half hour or less. So no big lost. They would have kept me there for 100 days as long as Medicare covered the cost. Just in it for the money.

And hurray I am home for my son's birthday today.
