Tea - You can use dropbox for just about anything. Pictures, files, recipes, etc - I store my photos on photobucket - but just because I started there. I might try DropBox downstream. It took a couple of years for DB to share his teas -but now I have quite a few - and will enjoy them in my retirement - which was supposed to happen but I was recalled... Thanks for the comments about DD. I miss him. Anna - you must take the cake for having the most stored on your iPad - we need to introduce you to DropBox - you can store almost anything on there to take up less space on your iPad..... I really love our Rain Stand for the iPad but it doesn't fit in my cabinet - but it is great for using on your lap. Thanks to both of you, but it's not practical. You cannot use a laptop on a music stand and there isn't nearly such nice software for organizing and reading music as there is for iOS. Also, I would have to carry a very heavy clunky stand if I wanted to do that, and it can't come in nearly as close as a regular music stand because of the keyboard, besides looking terrible. Also, I'd have to turn every half page because laptop software isn't designed for the computer to run sideways, so you can only see half a page of music at a time with most of those programs. I find the suggestion kind of puzzling, to tell the truth. The idea that needing to bring a phone, keys, credit card, and a comb is "a whole lot of other stuff" confuses me. Don't you need those things when you go anywhere in your car? All I want is a case that can also serve as a small clutch for valuables like a phone and credit cards. You don't seem to realize that there is usually no safe place to put valuables on jobs in public locations like stores and restaurants, unless you keep it right at your feet, which clients often don't care for. In the pre-internet days it didn't matter so much, because smart thieves knew that a musician wasn't worth robbing, but these days a smartphone, for instance, is a very tempting target to anyone. I don't happen to have one, but they're going to grab the bag first and find that out later.

I don't think it really matters. You will probably get faster roots laying down, but I've always done it standing up. That didn't sound right;). I just like the esthetics of rooting the pads standing up. It would be sturdier laying the pad down. Even over time it would be sturdier. Depends how big you want your Opuntia to get. If you're gonna keep it small it won't matter. I keep all my Opuntias size at bay because I don't have a big yard, plus I don't want people and animals stabbing themselves:). Growing flat would look probably strange for a year, but those big padded Opuntias grow fast. They aren't slow growing succulents. ps- In natural habitat the Opuntia pads probably propagate 99% of the time lying flat;).

I was a total tomboy from Day #1. Ran, swam, biked for miles, played neighborhood sports, etc. My dad was a bank vice president and total gentleman, but my mom’s grandfather and father had both been boxers in their younger, single days. And, as a result, they taught me how to defend myself, if ever necessary, starting at a young age (LOL!). And, yes, it came in handy on two occasions when I was still single, and I had to “deck” (use an uppercut punch to the jaw) guys who drank too much and thought to get a little too touchy or rough. Knocked them right off their feet, one into a pool. Anyhoo, I was the girl who’d pick up and rescue bugs, snakes, etc. I still do, so I guess that makes me a Rowdy Girl and proud of it. Because I had severe endometriosis ( and two surgeries for it) before I married DH, I was told I’d probably never be able to conceive. My dream had always been to be a mom. A fun one, but a good one, too. We adopted DS and I/we raised him to be a strong, thoughtful, good man. And he is. DD was my one and only pregnancy nine years later. I swore that I was going to raise her to be a strong, smart, kind woman who would never be somebody’s doormat , and a tomboy, too! And I (we) did. At just 25 y/o and getting ready to receive her Masters next week, I’m proud to say that my girl is definitely a Rowdy Woman, as well! Look out World!
