“Google Doodles”!

Apparently, I'm living under a rock because I have no idea what google doodles are? Is there a link to them?

Google search engine sometimes has an artistic graphic at top of the page. Some are animated. I vaguely recall that some in the past have been interactive. They may recognize a notable occasion or historical event. A past history can been seen at (link) Google Doodles.

If you click on this doodle at the search engine it brings up info about the skateboarding competitions. If you then click on the upper left of that page it brings up this doodle, animated.

Anyone know why birds? Frankly the connection to the Olympics alluded me until this thread. Swing and a miss IMHO.

I don’t always get the google doodle, either. But I almost always appreciate the effort, the cleverness, the animation. Sometimes I look up what it’s about, usually not. I thought the little birdies were cute. and the feathers for the Olympic laurel leaves, fun.

I remember hearing that some of the doodles are created by public submissions - it’s not only the Alphabet company employees creating them.

The artist used birds because skateboards are airborne momentarily, like birds.
