2 years agoI don't have this condition, but in a search, I found two toothpastes that meet your criteria. Both are from the UK.

Purslane - cure-all or just a tasty herb?
Comments (4)I do follow Hippocrates' idea of let your food be your medicine and your medicine be your food and so I would rather have a tasty meal of healthful foods than "pop a handful of pills." Obviously there are limits to this because it isn't anything that will have quick, dramatic effects. It has a more gentle steering towards health but it is effective in its own way. Purslane is one of those healthful foods I noticed years ago. We like to nibble it straight from the garden or add it to the salad bowl. My youngest is a great fan of it and is often going through the garden to browse and pick handfuls of purslane to eat. I like the various "golden" purslane varieties. Grows extremely well in the vegetable garden. It is more upright (less clinging dirt than the prostrate wild variety) and it has larger, more succulent leaves. If you let some flower, it will self-sow or you can easily collect the seeds to sow more. It grows quickly and is tolerant of cool temperatures so it is a good one to try even in Northern zones for fall harvests. The most recent exam by the oral surgeon seemed to be a bit worse so the dentist put him on a prescription drug for the auto immune lichen ... it is called Clobetasone ointment. He dries off the inside of his mouth where the lesion is & then applies the ointment & does this three times a day for two weeks & then sees the oral surgeon again. Does your regular dentist keep watch on the lesion? I'm concerned, as he was told it can become malignant sometimes & needs careful watching....See Morelichen sclerosis any one?
Comments (15)The drugs tacrolimus (Protopic) & Elidel as well as UV light I read can be used as well as the clobetesol ointment .. all for autoimmune diseases I guess. I shall try a doctor here who is an MD who treats either Western medicine or alternative medicine depending on a patient's preference. My daughter-in-law goes to this doctor (who is also on the staff of a university medical school) & she uses the alternative way for the most part. With my medical background it is more difficult to understand the alternative way, much as I'd like to! Oh, BTW: my German Shepherd dog is on tacrolimus ointment twice a day put in her 'dry eyes' & pilocarpine drops orally.. also an autoimmune problem (a family affair!!!)...See More
