Sometimes I've made comments where a few strangers are nearby, e. g. in store, or leaving after checkout "Do you know one of the great things about retirement?"

When someone asks what it is (or maybe if they don't), I jump in the air, throw my hands up, and say, enthusiastically, "Every day is holiday!!"

During the major shut down in the early days of covid, when so many workers were stuck at home with no pay cheque, one of joys of retirement for many retirees was ... that the pension cheque(s) kept coming in.

Perhaps, during vacation, do some people think, "Gee, wouldn't it be nice to be living like this all year long? - I think I'd better think about ways that I might be able to retire earlier than I've been expecting to!"

Maybe I'd better add to my story, "Anyone interested in discussing how you might be able to retire earlier than you've been expecting? Give me a call: people find me easy to talk to".
