How about a table/shelves in the same wood as the vanity to hold towels and toilet paper in the bottom and hand towels on the top?

Where do yo uplan on putting a wastebasket? Do you have a hand towel bar somewhere? You could add a short bar to the top row of tiles with a nice rectangular hand towel hanging down.

I think once you have a wall mounted TP holder, a wastebasket and/or towel in that area, it will be filled in nicely. You also have a lot of patterns, textures, colors, and shapes happening in this room. A bit of extra resting room for the eye will not be a bad thing.

All you need is a waste basket and a floor toilet paper stand that you can roll out your toilet paper when you use the toilet you don't need a cabinet there but if you hate those toilet paper roll out things then you would have to find the narrowest toilet paper cabinet but really I like the space

There are tons of standing toilet paper holders and little shelving units or tables that can go there. But I vote to not put anything there at all. Enjoy the spaciousness. Not every inch has to have something in it. I'd love it because you don't feel cramped while doing your business. And it's good for anyone who happens to use a walker.

I happen to agree with you, it feels a bit empty, and I have never known anyone who complained about having more storage in a small bathroom.

Correct. We had ordered the vanity with the original plan, but then ended up having to push the bathroom wall to the left a bit more for HVAC reasons, and it gave us way more room, and left no time to return the original vanity.

I actually think that every bit of space doesn't need to be filled with storage, and I don't like to keep rolls of toilet paper or stacks of towels stored out in the open in the steam and aerosols of a bathroom. It looks like you need a wastebasket and a toilet paper holder within reach.

I don't like to run out of toilet paper! Someone else might not refill.

You made a mistake and it will always look like a mistake unless you fix it properly. Just think of all the storage space you don't have because the vanity is the wrong size.

If you purchased it at HD, I'm not aware there is a "return window".

Sell the vanity on Craigslist and purchase the correct size. Maybe you can get half your money back.

Agree with Beverly The best thing to do is purchase another vanity with more storage. You can add a toilet paper roll on the side of the cabinet and a small trashcan 😊 I definitely would not put a basket with toilet paper specially if you have little boys in the house they tend to miss Commode not to sanitizing just my opinion.

Thanks everyone! I decided to purchase a new vanity and move this smaller one to my other bathroom that is a bit tighter on space. And then will add in toilet paper holder, waste basket, etc. accordingly. Appreciate the help!

That really is the only answer. Eat the mistake and fix it by getting the correctly sized vanity.
