If there are spots where the finish is completely worn off, the Restore A Finish will not make those dull spots look like the finished area. It can even out the color though. It depends on how perfect you want the table to look, if the finish is worn. If it's all there, but just dull and dry looking, you will probably be very pleased with the results. I have used the golden oak color on oak, and I've used the mahogany color on mahogany, cherry and walnut. I have used it on an oak sideboard from the late 1800's, and a cherry secretary that is older, both with original finish. The cherry was only very dirty, so it cleaned up beautifully. The oak had some worn spots in the finish, so it's not perfect but I am happy with it. I've used it on much older furniture that was refinished about 35 years ago, just to freshen it up. For the old pieces, I used 0000 steel wool, then wiped it off with a clean rag. For the refinished ones, which weren't dirty, I wiped it on with a cotton rag and wiped again with a clean rag. If i use it on newer furniture to blend in scratches, I use a rag. I have only seen it for sale in antique shops.

Yikes! Having a numb finger for two weeks would freak me out. Glad it's gone! I will definitely get one of those doodads. Did you spray primer on it first? I remember now, we had beautiful cool Spring days and that's when I was working in the flowerbeds so much, and suddenly it got hot with high humidity and stayed that way until this week. I melt in humidity. I love the green you used, but I'm thinking it would be too dark for that corner of the porch. I'll probably look for ideas online.

Given that your furniture is not heavy, I wouldn't bother with cardboard cutouts but would just start moving things around. Starting with your "living room" furniture, if this were an indoor room you'd realize right away that you need a coffee table. I would put the sofa where you now have the love seat with its back about a foot from the wall. Put the love seat in an L shape with it's back to the white fence. Put the 2 chairs side by side, facing the house. Now you have a conversation area in a U shape, with the open part facing the grill and dining table. Add an indoor-outdoor rug which is big enough to go at least a foot under each seat. Add some color with the rug, and repeat the color with a few pillows. Bonus if you can find some flowers or flowering shrubs to repeat the color too. A rug under your dining area would be good too. For the path that goes from the gate to the patio, you may want to move the 2 stepping stones closest to the patio so that they touch the corner of the patio, not the middle. That will further reinforce the "conversation area" feeling. Same as indoors, the width should be about 2/3 of the width of the sofa. If you can find a piece of wall art that is suitable for outdoors (metal, driftwood) and hang it over the sofa, that would further reinforce the "room" feeling. A shabby chic style window like this would look great over your wicker sofa. If window glass makes it too heavy to hang, maybe replace with acrylic panels. I just really love those colors @Jess Whisner, the aqua door and the soft shades on the house, and they don't look like anyone else's house. I also think the green lawn color does very well with those. What might be tricky is getting the paint shades so they go together well, but a Benjamin Moore (or similar) store might be able to help you get a pretty combination. Do you have budget for more of a little porch and some wider steps, as in your sample photo? There'd be room for some bright hanging baskets, too. ******** On the shutter question.... There's no fact that legislates how you should/must/have to/couldn't possibly not do shutters on your home. Indeed, certain periods of American architecture do have a shuttered style like yours, and yours is entirely in keeping with the 1960's, whether the Architectural Digest or some designers on this forum like it or not. For an 18th century colonial home in New England, I'd want to do shutters that fit the windows, because that was functional and not merely decoration. These shutters kept wind and storms out because glass was much thinner, and there were no storm windows. That's my opinion, but it also is a matter of historical verisimilitude.
