Just an update on what we did wind up going with each bathroom. Bath 1: White paint with white wall-mount sink with chrome console. We are definitely going to the colors of the glass tile for the towels. We're also thinking about painting the inside of the door green. Bath 2: Ocean Mist by Valspar (a very light brown with grey and green undertones) with an espresso finish vanity and cultured off white marble sink top. The bedroom got Moth on the same color chart. I'm gunna have pictures up, hopefully, soon.

OMG, BEDBUGS!!! Well, they had a Hoarders show where they had to clean out the whole house because of infestation of those. The family lived in tents out in the yard, up in Massachusetts, and it was getting to be late September, with first frost coming around mid October. The house had to be cleared out so exterminators could tackle the problem. But Mart, I like BOTH tan chairs. Maybe you can get him to lower the price a little by buying both chairs. And PAINTING the fabric would be easier on the lighter colored chairs. I think you will discover everything dark is not a good idea. Keep the space evenly balanced. Naturally the loveseat is a good option for a smaller space. And by having two chairs alike, you open up more possibilities with arrangements in the future. Get them both. Don't sweat the color of the sofa or the chairs. You can get yourself some painter drop cloth canvas which is heavy duty and cheap, and then with a GLUE GUN and fabric glue sticks, can make some washable slip covers. Or just throw them over the furniture and pin them in place. The reason I have simple loose cushions on my living room furniture is so I can strip off the dirty covers and wash them easily. Two little dogs and parrots take a toll on furniture and tidiness! Such slip covers will look very casual and comfy and BEACHY most of the year. Lose them in the winter when dark colors is good. But I like the way your fireplace goes up up, quite modern. The pair of chairs facing it, even from across the room, is a classic setup. They will help direct traffic AROUND and not through the middle of the room. To combat the "dark hole" look of the wood blinds, I'd think about a swing arm drape on each window. The whole wall is so symmetrical that treating them as a single unit, one left one right, with the drapes tied back low left and right, would further call attention to the symmetry. The dark blinds would make it possible to keep down glare from the windows should you one day choose to mount your TV above the fireplace. Yeah, you can put a flat panel up there and build a sort of furniture box with folding doors to cover it when not in use, I suppose. But the box even if left open could give you a way to hide wires, you will also need a DVD unit there, or a cable box whatever. Unless you have what they are calling a MAN CAVE space. I think that is ridiculous term myself. What happened to COUCH POTATO? Oh well, that just slipped out. Sorry. :) Been watching DIY channel, and it is heavy with testosterone and a lot of hollering, not at all laid back, like being at boot camp.

The only pole variety I know that has green seeds is King of the Garden... and even those are not bright green. Not always green either, I had white seeds from a different vendor. King of the Garden has very large seeds - much larger than any of the varieties already mentioned - so probably not what you are looking for. Based upon your description of the dry beans, chances are that the limas you remember were bright green because they were harvested immature. One of the heirlooms that I grow (1880's Butterbean) is darker green when immature, but those seeds have reddish-purple stripes when dry.

Hi Beth, I have seen your super helpful comments on other topics as well and thank you so much for responding so quickly with ideas, I loved them all!! The last photo you attached is exactly what I contracted a contractor for in mat but that didn't work out, see below. You were spot on with your suggestions as a "poured" polished floor was my original plan but the contractor I used - who btw is the technician at a large German concrete company so I trusted him - completely messed up my floor. He was supposed to do a terrazzo floor based on the sample he made me which looked great (photo attached) but it turned into a disaster and he offered to pay my money back but I'm now left with an unpolished floor that has stones in only half of the area and the rea with the stones looks like fly poo..(photo attached). This is the link to the material used: MC Top Floor. I didn't want to go into these details in my original post to spare the readers of this drama but that is the situation I'm in unfortunately. I cannot add a lot more weight and height to my floors so I wanted to continue with the polished concrete type options, BUT the quotes I am getting are horrible, around 4,5k GBP. It's insane and NOONE will do it with a warranty as they say the floor has been messed up by someone else. The best quote I got so far was 2,3k GBP for which they would polish, correct uneven areas and add two layers of coloured polyurethane lacquer which will come out as an even colour of my choice without cloudiness. But there is no guarantee that it will look good so I'm terrified to risk more. I also live in an old building so polishing with those huge machines for longer periods might cause damage. I'm in Budapest and the flooring business is horrific over here, most contractors rip people off and it's a super tight community, they all know each other and quote ridiculous prices. I'm not sure what to do to make it the most cost-effective but still good looking and most importantly usable. Now it looks like a white subfloor.
