Please - Help from Blanco Silgranit Super Single Sink Owners
Comments (5)serviceplumberman, Thanks for the suggestion. I didn't know about a rough-in sheet. I did check online the specifications sheet for the sink and it didn't give the information I need. I have contacted Blanco to ask about the rough-in sheet. For anyone else out there who might like to take a stab at this question here are some measurements. Sink base cabinet a standard 34" height. Current waste drain stub 16'' from the finished slab floor. (10'' from floor of cabinet and the floor of the cabinet is another 6'' from the finished slab floor). Sink in question is Blanco Silgranit Diamond 1 and 3/4 undermount. Deeper side is 9 1/2'' and shallower side is 8'' deep. My worry is whether I would have to lower the waste drain which I think is a big job in order for the deeper depth side of the sink to drain properly. I hate to buy the sink and have it installed under the granite countertop only to realize that the waste drain needs to be lowered. I'm trying to think through the realities before buying any product. Thanks for any and all advice!...See MoreWhat can you tell me about silgranit sinks
Comments (6)Almost a year- cafe brown Silgranite color goes all the way through so scratches should not be a major problem. I would recommend the sink grid. I don't store mine in the sink but when I wash heavy pots(seldom as almost everything goes in the DW), I use it. I figure dropping a 10 lb pot on stone is not a good idea(or any sink material)...See MoreDid I just get a Blanco Silgranite I sink (not Silgranite II)?
Comments (7)The Homeperfect site is working today. If you think you didn't get what you paid for and you are concerned about durability, then I'd return it. The number on their website is 1-888-850-3999. (That might be a sales line; they should be able to give you a customer service number. Also there should be a number in the paperwork you got with your order.) If the description on their website didn't specify whether it's the I or II model then that wouldn't necessarily be a reason to return it (in their minds) but you also have the issue with the scuff mark that you could use as a reason. If the description did have a model number that's different than the model number on the box you received, that's certainly a valid reason for a return. I'd also call Blanco's customer service rather than waiting for an email response. Then you can have a live conversation about your concerns....See MoreSinks double vs single & name brand vs store brand
Comments (7)I'm not sure I can answer all of your questions correctly so I will just say what was my very recent experience. I too, compared the store brand to the Blanco that was on display in the kitchen section. I liked the "feel" of the Blanco better. I priced the Blanco silgranit sink at Lowe's...(they would special order it )and it was quite a lot more than what I could purchase it for online. (approx. $200 more) I got the 60/40 sink. My DW is on the left. The large bowl is on the left. The smaller bowl with my garbage disposal is on the right. I would have preferred it to be in the opposite postion, but it wasn't available that way at place I was ordering it from. So I am living with it and it is not really a big deal for me. Personally I prefer a double bowl...but I know there are many on this forum who prefer the single. I like to have a sink for washing and a sink for rinsing/draining/disposing of stuff etc... Good luck and I hope I helped....even a little bit:) Here is a link that might be useful: blanco 441128...See Morekatie234
