Need help picturing layout
Comments (2)You're looking at photos of the space. Do you see a big tv, or a man sized recliner? That's the problem. Draw the apartment to scale on 1/4" ( equals a foot) graph paper. Cut templates of furniture that represent yours. Couch, recllner, dining table....etc Push the furniture around ON PAPER. .......... And you may need to locate a narrow dining table and chairs near the ENTRY. Ignore how the spaces are labeled...See MoreHow would you furnish a small kitchen/living/diner?
Comments (1)Your plan seems pretty good to me I might consider going with a round table-easier to manuever around (bonus if it has additional hidden leaf to make it oval. just in case you have a larger company) But overall- good plan, really (I hope coffee table will get put closer to sofa irl, I understand now it's only computer rendering. I'd also push a bit closer or angle the chair a bit, for same purposes-closer conversational area, easy to reach things/talk to people, less blocking the passage. ) Congrats on your move! Exciting!...See MoreHow would you furnish this living room?
Comments (6)Wonderful ceiling height!! I'd leave the windows just as they are. Change out the window coverings and add panels on each side of the window and also at the corner. It will then look like 2 full windows instead of a corner (though I love the corner). Change out the railing up the stairs and along the loft/kitchen area. Under the stairs, add built in storage/shelves. The large wall under the railing is where I would put the TV, couch or sectional across from it. The length of the TV wall, I'd put a long credenza (TV not centered) and next to the TV add open shelving. So many additional options: seating, small table with chairs for games, puzzles or food, ottoman, console table, etc. Be sure to add good lighting, can add wood beams, paint an accent wall. So many options!! (https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=under+stairs+built+in+shelves&qpvt=under+stairs+built+in+shelves&FORM=IGRE)....See MoreHow would you furnish this L shaped living room?
Comments (4)I like the idea of a couch and two accent chairs. With a sectional, your room would barely have room for one accent chair and it would feel very cramped. I like the arrangement in your second photo best. Do you need the ottoman? The ottoman seems to be taking up space perfect for a small coffee table....See MoreTara
