I was just asking about the tile and quartzite. I don’t think one needs to see the entire room .
I like the tile but at certain moment I wasn’t sure if it won’t be almost weird to have sort of similar surfaces .

Not sure why it’s wrong to have posts about the same kitchen- I only have one 🤷🏻‍♀️. And the tile goes to bathrooms not kitchen .
On quartzite - idk what to tell you. What it looks like to you?

IMO a very simple 12 x24 porceain tile in one color no pattern would be my choice not a close but missed choice . I agree to this is the reason I constantly say DO NOT start another post

Thank you , I just don’t think I want solid color tile . The style of the house is not modern and the only solid color that seemed right was black but everyone says it shows every dust particle and tbh - the samples proved it.

Have you used any of the online floor visualizers to understand what this tile would look like across a large area? It is pretty busy and has the potential to become a bossy element in the space - I love a low key slate tile look but it’s def personal preference

I did , it seemed to look good .
I am thinking heavily now about going with solid gray color since solid black was my original choice , but not sure about solid gray . Bathrooms (showers) - subway tile, black floor in one, gray in the other . Shower floors are small hexagon mosaics . Everything is very simple .
I thought that tile was simple enough with a touch of interest . Same way
As black floor is very simple but the color makes it more than just a solid color floor..

I did my 5' x 9' bath in 21" x 21" tile on everything except the floor (including the ceiling). The floor was 15" x 15" and it all looks fine.

Use the tile it will be fine.

Design in a vacuum is like thinking you’ll look good in a dress because you like the colour, with no concern as to how it fits and looks on you.

Yes we do need to see the entire room - at least the other material selections - to help with this. Otherwise we’re guessing. Material choices are best done all together, not one by one. Make a mood board and try substituting in some floor choices with the other choices, one board for each room.

Otherwise the question about whether these go together can only be answered by ‘no’ or ‘it depends on everything else’s which is mostly what you’ve gotten. In my non designer opinion, it’s ‘no’.

Here is the tile in question from visualization tool . I don’t know how helpful it is , the colors will probably look different on everyone’s screen.. Tile color is very basic gray, maybe a slight green undertone . Wall Color will be Egret White (I want to give it one more chance) . Quartzite- I’d say it’s greige and has some green flare to it.. I can’t help seeing it. But I also see pink in Egret White cabinets that most people didn’t see . So, idk..

Spent an hour trying several tiles, these are some. I think I like Concept Gray in Herringbone pattern. And that means we need samples again.
