bathroom tile - but what about the countertop?
Comments (1)My opinion, dark floor, countertop and tub surround would seem too dark, unless it is a very large, brightly lit bath. What are your cabinets? How about a light colored limestone for the countertop/tub surround? Check out the ramone white and bone yata limestone here, might complement the blue lagos: http://www.jerusalem-stones.com/catalog-frameset.html...See MoreHelp with Tile Choices for 2 Bathrooms with Carrara Countertops
Comments (6)I love the marble top I received and it was very similar to the one I saw in a RH store. You can also purchase samples of the counter material online ($20 I think?). I will probably be purchasing some samples now (yes, after the vanity is installed) to test out soaps and find out what will or will not etch. I think a dark gray tile on the floor and white tile on the tub surround would be absolutely lovely. Personally I would use tile colors in the "cool" family (whites, grays, etc) to be in keeping with the cool colors of the carrara top. I will definitely post pictures when I am finished. Things have been a little crazy lately and I'm at about the 90% completed mark and am struggling to find time to finish....See MoreBathroom Tile, Counters and Drop in Tub Deck Help
Comments (3)I’d suggest you use the quartz on you tub deck because tile sizes go in and out of style. Depending on when you sell, they can date your renovation. Regarding the marble, when I recently renovated my ensuite, I was strongly advised not to use it where water might sit because, in time, it will yellow, even if it’s been sealed. After I’d heard that, I realized that that was why my former shower threshold was stained....See Morebathroom sink countertop vs shower tiling? and fixture question.
