Which media console should we do?

I have pictured attached of living room and screenshots my wife and I debating on. We are a bit worried about having a big piece of black furniture when our coffee table and console table are/ will be more of a pecan tone. Vote for your fav!

The light wood. Black would be too much on the tv console - between the black tv and console. Plus, I think the light wood is a more current/attractive and streamlined style. But the tv has to be lowered. It is much too high. It should be at eye level when you are sitting; and it should be much closer to the console, or on the console, itself. And the console should be significantly longer than the tv. So I am not sure if either of these are long enough. It looks like you have the space on the wall for a longer console.

Maybe that is because the 360 doesn't use a booster pump and works off lower pressure? Our 380 backed up well (until it died) and never got stuck. In the remodel, we made the shallow end shallower by making it a large shelf. We haven't figured out if the 3900 is able to get onto it. The Polaris 380 needed maintenance/repair from time to time. The tail hose gets stiff after a couple of years and has to be replaced. Tires get worn, etc. It didn't need constant repair. It lasted over 10 years. We went with the 3900 this time because they have a rebate that makes it cost the same as the 360 and I'm hoping that the steel drive chain means it will last longer. There doesn't seem to be much besides Polaris in pressure side cleaners.

You might consider a basic box shelf, especially if you are DIY inclined. I also recently got a new, larger television and the old stand was too small. I personally like having something underneath so I did buy a new, larger console that has four doors and a shelf for the cable box. However, it's your house, so if you're OK with it this way, don't worry about it. :-) If it's the cost that's concerning, save up and buy something later, or look in thrift shops.

oh, ok yeah-- I see that the corner is the best spot. the fireplace is too tall and the ceiling too low. a TV would look crammed up there, plus it would be very uncomfortable. if the couch is the favorite seat, then I think the viewing angle would be best if you mounted it flat on the wall, not the corner. try it out-- find a small piece of furniture in your house (or a crate) to temporarily move over there, and set the TV on it to see if you like the angle. due to the heat pump, is the radiator decommissioned? can you remove it? or if it's still working, consider a custom piece that covers it on the left while allowing ventilation. I feel like something wide would balance the space: or a small piece that fits directly under doesn't have to be a TV console. it could be a bookcase or cubbies. Do you actually need a tv console? Since your tv is wall mounted I would suggest dispensing with a console unless you need it for storage. Any large piece of furniture is going to crowd your fireplace. Is placing the tv above the fireplace an option for you? If so, would you consider having cabinetry built above the fireplace to house the tv?

Yea we need it for storage and don’t want to position tv on fireplace as we don’t want that to be main focus of living room.

How tall is the light colored cabinet? TV should be 4" above so I think the TV maybe too high

Can't tell from your photos if your furnishings are positioned in the best location.

I would keep looking for an option closer to the color of your entry console. You don't have to do a traditional media console if you don't need to fit media components in there. (Few do anymore.) Personally I dislike the look of the floating consoles jutting out of the wall and prefer the look of a table or cabinet. I do think a wood tone would look better than the black based on the great mockup from Paul.

First lower the TV to proper viewing height then figue out the stand or shelf the center of the screen should be at eye level when you are seated .That black cabinet would be a hard NO for sure way too dark and the stlye is all wrong for that space . Have you checked out Besta form IKea for something like Beverly shows .

Neither. Find a medium toned wood. Yours are currently extremes - light and dark. You need something in the middle. And yes, you need to place your TV way lower.

Ideally, the TV is 3/4 the width of the piece of furniture underneath.
