Shower pan advice please! Match bathroom floor or shower wall? See pic
Comments (8)Typically we match the bathroom floor to the shower floor. If the bathroom floor tile is too large and slippery, we'd cut it into smaller pieces. Do make sure that your shower floor tile is not slippery when wet. There are products that you can put on the tile afterward to add some grit if needed. Your shower most likely has a threshold and make sure that is well-delineated so you won't stub your toes. Keep in mind that natural stone requires more maintenance and is not as resilient as porcelain tile....See MoreBest bathroom wall product for girls bathroom who uses hairspray
Comments (13)Yes it’s kind of narrow when in front of sink and mirror. It is the wall across from the vanity that gets the misjudged overspray. It’s not aerosol spray it’s a spritz. So it has larger droplets. Haha. The wall is not wall papered, it’s painted right now with a eggshell Paint. Ps. It has nothing to do with cheap or expensive hairspray. It has to do with the ingredients that causes destruction of my wall. Thanks to females in the family. Haha....See Moreneed advice for bathroom wall color
Comments (5)A very pale, subtle turquoise might look nice, but the floor tile white and the subway better be a pure white. If it is off even a little, you have to consider its undertones....See MoreGrout cracking in bathroom corner walls on 7 month old bathroom
Comments (11)If you have a curb, you will have the cracks develop there, too. and where the walls meet the floor. Anywhere where two different materials meet or where one surface meets another that is in a different direction (known as "change of plane"). My contractor still grouts such places, too. But I did a solid surface shower that he could not do wrong. I am keeping an eye on the place where the floor meets the shower pan, all other places are in dry areas. So there it is just cosmetic. I would guess that water can get behind your tile with those cracks. If properly waterproofed it is fine, but if not, I would get to this as soon as you can. A lot of shower builders do not use waterproofing, even though it is now required. If you do a search on this forum for "Shower waterproof," you can see many discussions about it and learn what is and is not waterproof. (Redguard yes, Durock no, for instance.)...See Moreenajasereht
