Final Kitchen Layout Feedback - Anything Missing?
Comments (12)I looked for my original post for about an hour this morning and missed it - thought I had done the preview and didn't post thing that I frequently do! Sorry for that. I will reply on this thread for continuity - below are a couple of replies from the old one: -------------------- Posted by Mugsy42 (My Page) on Wed, Aug 10, 11 at 19:19 I would vote for seating on more than one side of the island. Otherwise conversation is difficult when everyone is seated in a row. My friends and I always end up around the island even when there is a perfectly good table a few feet away. I would put garbage near each sink. That's where things get cleaned up. What are you doing for your corner sink? I've got one I don't know what to do with. Is it me or if the fridge wall different in the two drawings? Built in? I envy your pantry, but it's a little far away. Great space. I'd love to have that much room! ------------------------------- Posted by april_love (My Page) on Wed, Aug 10, 11 at 19:32 I agree with all the comments suggested by Mugsy42. I especially agree with the comment about the island seating. ----------------------- My only comment would be - have you allowed yourself enough room with the sink in the corner? Have you considered placing the sink along one of the walls rather than the corner? --------------------- Posted by abundantblessings (My Page) on Wed, Aug 10, 11 at 20:21 I'd shift the prep sink to the right so it's more toward the end thereby giving you more uninterrupted prep counter. Also better for RF landing. When I look at the plan it appears you have full depth RF. I'd go with the 3D counterdepth or built-in energy star if possible....See MoreHow many new roses for Season 2024?
Comments (97)I ordered Geschwinds Orden from RVR because I thought it would stay small … I soon realized my error. HMF says 13’ minimum. I contacted RVR, and they are substituting La Marne. Polyanthas I can deal with. My only other order this year will be from Burlington. Lady Kidwell and Clotilde Soupert. She sent me a CS last year, but I let it drown in our El Niño. Trying again....See MoreChristmas Tree Question for 2024
Comments (43)Sherry, that is one huge positive for me, the support for larger, heavier ornaments. I can pretty much put any ornament wherever I want on our artificial tree. We are now on our 2nd artificial tree, downsizing to a smaller one a couple of years ago. Never regretted the decision for a minute. Like several others, I use the Thymes Frasier Fir scented candle when I want to sniff something like real scent. I can also go cut some eastern red cedar branches and put it in a jar for a little help. Yes, i grew up with real trees except for a couple of years when we had that aluminum thing with the rotating illuminating lights....See MoreJanuary 2024 - Happy New Year
Comments (47)Kim, you are ahead of me, but you may be q 100 miles south of me also, so spring may hit you a little sooner. 32 tubs are a lot of tubs to fill, and of course you know how heavy they can get. Some of my tubs have onions in them, and the last time I checked they were doing well, but they are not bulbing onions. I have been using my perennial a lot, try to get Madge use to using them. I even used some winter onions, jalapenos and sweet potatoes in kraut and weiners at lunch, it sounds sickening, but it was good. I did not put the sweet potato slices in till everything else was about done. The sweet potatoes were still crunchy. I used the Red Wine Velvet sweet potatoes, which are pretty sweet. Madge is very kind to me, I like to experiment with everything I do. I have been out raking leaves to put on the garden, I wish they were shredded so they would stay in place better....See Moresleevendog (5a NY 6aNYC NL CA)
