Looking for a good creamy white or light taupe paint color without yellow or pink undertones. Any suggestions ?

The one that looks good in YOUR home. There is no way for anyone to advise a color.

Paint is determined when you test on your walls , in your lighting, with your furnishings.

I like Ben Moore Navajo White, but that doesn't mean it is best for you.

I was looking for a creamy color a while too and found a color I love - its the ready mixed Olympic Antique White from Lowes. It has sort of rich pearl or oyster qualities, which you pick up especially in the semi gloss. Not too much tan and not too much yellow. Its fabulous and the price is great. We used it in a bath, hallway, and 2 remodeled bedrooms -in the flat for walls and the semigloss for the trims and doors. It has a rich look and we get many compliments on it as its in our guest areas. Its my new favorite off white/creamy color, and its been 9 months now and holding up very well against the abuse of my adorable grandchildren.

When you're mixing colors like this on the fly, I'd definitely take advantage of the BM affinity colors and then you know that they will work together well. I'm not sure how gray or creamy you want to go with the colors, but I'll suggest AF85 Frappe; AF140 Pensive; AF160 Carob as a nice cream, taupe, cocoa combo.

Hello! I’m gutting my 1 bedroom apartment in Brooklyn (read: small) and plan to install engineered hardwood floors throughout. I’m wondering what color white would be best to use in my entry way. My living room will be painted dark (something like Behr cracked pepper). I have good natural light, west/northwest exposure, and am feeling overwhelmed with my google searches! I’ve attached a render of my kitchen (facing the entryway, which is what I’m looking to paint) and two images of two floors I am considering purchasing. The pendants, bar stools, and art are for display purposes only and not representative of my space :) Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Sarah Richardson has a tutorial on this...but other than that you are asking for THOUSANDS of opinions and none could be perfect for YOU. Do the work, try some samples, sit with them on your walls for a few days..............

All you will get here are 100s of colors none of which will help you. What this type of color ? I agree creamy is yellow bases . Taupes are all over the map if you are looking for something neutral i always think nature and this is my fave for a real neutral with not yellow I usually cut it 25-50% for my clients , it looks awesome with all kinds of wood and every color it is a BM color not SW

Taupe is a chameleon color. It can range from dark to light, and can be a variation of any color on the color wheel--red, yellow, green, blue, orange or purple. That underlying hue can be very subtle, and you don't notice it until it's up on the wall. And the color can mutate depending on the lighting in your room.

The only way to find the right color for your space is to try some in your room with your light. Test it during the day and at night. And ignore the color names--they don't really tell you anything--any guesses as to what color Marilyn's Dress is????

Some options would be Ben Moore Bennington Gray, Grant Beige, Richmond Gray, Carrington Beige, Abingdon Putty, Edgecomb Gray, Coastal Fog, Hot Spring Stones.

It's not easy--personally I think it's the most difficult thing to do in designing a room.
