ded -- that's the truth! 40 years ago, I put the tickets to a youth concert that the whole family was supposed to go to in a safe place. To this day, they have not been located, even after one house move and many searches. Now and then they remind me by asking if I have found those tickets yet. Why, no, no I have not.... =)

Roxanna, wherever could they be?Did you get to go to the concert? One time I hid my good silver and couldnt find it for months. One night in the middle of the night I remembered where I put it, jumped out of bed to check and there it was. What a relief.

I bought a skateboard tool for a Christmas present for my middle school aged son. Said son will be 34 this year and I have yet to find where I hid it. I’ve always thought they’d find the present after I die and they need to empty and sell my house, but after reading Roxanna’s post I’m giving up hope!

cara and ded -- I'm so happy that I am not the only one in the very select group of folk who have all-too successfully put stuff in a very safe place. It's nice that our places have been so secure that even WE cannot find them. And no, ded, we could not go to that concert. Our school system back in those days offered three or four annual Adventures in Music concerts with (sometimes) live music and slide shows of excellent orchestral pieces -- really wonderful for all ages. I finally stopped looking for them, but I would very much like to find them and have a "ta-DAH" moment with my sons (now 53 & 49), lol.

During Xmas decorating, I moved things off of tables and bookcases to replace with decorations. When Xmas was over and I was putting the room back together, I could not find one particular covered dish - a vintage tureen. I searched for almost two weeks. Where was it? On the seat of a chair in the bedroom which I had been walking past all that time. In other words, the dish was in plain sight. sheesh.

When I was a kid, my mother bought me some earrings for Christmas or some occasion. She hid them. From herself. I knew that they were in dad's sock drawer, because I was putting away laundry and I saw them. Of course I couldn't admit that I knew the secret, and I never did get those earrings.

Would it have been close to aok had you put a flea into your dad's ear, maybe?
