Living Room Layout - Advice Appreciated
Comments (6)I, personally, have never seen a corner fireplace that I liked, lol, so my vote is to either keep it at Position #1 (especially if your architectural style works with a front-facing chimney, like Tudors), or center it along the wall that connects #2 & #3 (and flank it with windows). And just so you know my bias upfront, I just looooove floating twin sofas facing each other, with the fireplace centered in the room. :-) But I also dislike TVs competing with fireplaces, so that may or may not work for you. Edited to add: As for the ceiling, without knowing what the rest of the house looks like, both inside and out, I wanna say I'd go with 9'. Only do a tray if it is consistent with your home's style of architecture, is my other thought. :-)...See MoreWeird Living Room Layout! Any advice?
Comments (14)Help others help you by posting an overhead view layout, drawn to scale on graph paper with all dimensions (walls, windows, doors, etc.) clearly marked. Be sure to show all the rooms so we know how they connect. Then tell us what you want to place in there (sizes/types of furniture, etc.) And just curious, are those concrete stairs and how are they supported?...See MoreLiving Room Layout Advice
Comments (5)The gold walls don't work with the new furnishings nor do the patterned drapery panels The rug would look better if it were one size larger The sofa chould be centered in front of the picture window to allow a bit more space for the oversized loveseat. That will necessitate moving the accent chair I have added a round coffee table, but it could be a rectangle as an alternative....See MoreLooking for Living Room layout advice, please! Comments (4)Your link takes us to the sign in page. What do you mean by accent wall colors...as in plural? One accent wall is sufficient and make sure you have something to accent. North rooms want warmth...consider B.M. Goldtone....See Morerinked
