Londontown Sheer nail polish -old topic needing suggestions

Forgive me for not remembering the poster's name who asked for suggestions on sheer nail polish, maybe late last summer or Fall. I suggested Londontown Kur Illuminating Nail Concealer. She looked at their website and found a polish and now I want the same but can't remember the name of it!

Londontown Nail Polish I also want to know if the poster liked the color.

I searched and searched and all nail polish was about furniture.

I go all out for my BFF of 50+years! I look for particular things, but I like to follow a 'color theme'~last year it was everything turquoise(because it's her favorite color), and the year before it was leopard print. I get things like mittens or gloves, scarf, wallet or purse, pj's, sofa throw, velour sweat suit, sunglasses, socks, and just about anything that I can find in whatever color i've chosen. A few years ago it was everything monkey's~~this year it might be the color pink, and since she loves cats, make it a *pink* cat theme. ;o)

That's true, Hostagrams. Here's a blurb from Wiki: While a number of reference works used in the United States describe Oriental as pejorative, antiquated or offensive in some instances, the American Heritage Book of English Usage notes that It is worth remembering, though, that Oriental is not an ethnic slur to be avoided in all situations. It is most objectionable in contemporary contexts and when used as a noun, as in "the appointment of an Oriental to head the commission." In these cases Asian (or a more specific term such as Vietnamese, Korean, or Asian American, if appropriate) is the only acceptable term. But in certain historical contexts, or when its exotic connotations are integral to the topic, Oriental remains a useful term. Random House's Guide to Sensitive Language states "Other words (e.g., Oriental, colored) are outdated or inaccurate." This Guide to Sensitive Language suggests the use of "Asian or more specific designation such as Pacific Islander, Chinese American, [or] Korean." Merriam-Webster describes the term as "sometimes offensive," Encarta states when the term is used as a noun it is considered "a highly offensive term for somebody from East Asia."

I agree with xena; no need for custom panels. The only time that makes sense is when you are wishing to incorporate a specific print or pattern, or have windows that are an unusual size. With all of the options in solid colors available you will find one that works for you. I do like the JCPenney drapes since they are 2X the width. That will look more finished and custom-like than having two panels hung side by side. The extra width will really make a huge difference! Also, getting them hemmed wouldn't be very expensive and that way you could get exactly the length you want (I agree, no puddling), Much easier to achieve than adding length to existing panels. You have a beautiful room that will also serve you well with toddlers.....good for you!

LOL. With all the fighting going on here I thought I somehow wandered into the Hot Topics forum by mistake. I think the reason why citrus is not supposed to be exported from Florida is that there is a plague right now that is destroying citrus here in Florida that has decimated the Florida citrus industry. I was driving a couple of weeks ago across the state and there were so many citrus groves that were totally withered away from citrus greening disease. I think there may even been restrictions on bringing actual pieces of fruit into the state. I could have dreamed this but I think there is a sign at the Georgia Florida border that might say something about bringing in fruit..

Salonva, did you use the Search Houzz at the top? That's what I used and got all house stuff.

No----- I was told, I think by Annie D that for the search function to work properly it should say gardenweb. So even though it seems to default to houzz, if I delete the houzz and put in gardenweb, that works. Also the search part when it is gardenweb- is to the left and gives options to select the forum to search. When it's houzz, that's when I get the posts that are from 2006. It makes no sense and I do find that it defaults to houzz but somehow search with gardenweb and it actually works. ( at least most of the time).

I'm on my pc so maybe it's different but there are no other options than Search Houzz. I can't even delete Houzz and type in gardenweb. Where exactly do you delete Houzz?

yay! it really works like that!! ( see all my previous posts asking why the search function doesn't work any more and my amazement when people were able to search on here). Gardenweb is the ticket.
