Has anyone read "Waltzing at the Piggly Wiggly" by Ron Dolby? I just ordered it for .20 on Amazon, a hardcover. He has three more Piggly Wiggly books and if I like waltzing I will order the rest. Obviously, it doesn't depend on the cost. (lol) I also ordered "She flew the Coop" and "Consuming Passions" both by Michael Lee West". I love southern novels and I see you do too Mitchdesj.

Where are you located? Why won't he allow you to purchase from elsewhere? Won't he give you an allowance where you pay the overage? We are working on a project where the homeowner is putting in the cheapest possible contractor/homecenter fixtures (for the decorative stuff, not including the recessed) because it was part of the contractor pricing, just to get a certificate of occupancy. Then we are going to replace the decorative fixtures with what they want. I think its wasteful, but it was the only way to get around the issue, in this case.

my3dogs- The painting will actually go up on the wall behind the loveseat (the wall it is leaning against in the picture above). It technically isn't even "in" the room as the FR is a sunken area and the picture will actually go on the wall in the "walkway/hall" leading to the room. There are no other places to put it as the TV wall will have a 13 foot built-in Cherry entertainment center/bookcases. I'm very familiar with Selectrugs. I've spent quite a bit of time on their website! caminnc- muranogirl's house is gorgeous. Really close to how i would have liked to decorate our house, however DH is a bit more traditional and poo-poos(is that a word??) my more contemporary leanings. So the FR in progress is sort of a compromise. It looks like muranogirl has an off white/ivory rug in her FR. That was the original plan that DH didn't like because he thought it was too dull. I may have to push more the more contemporary look and stick with the light colored neutral rug in a geometric pattern (although it is a bit risky with 2 kids under 4). susie- i haven't check out american blinds- I'll put them on my list!
